I would like to refloat my overall suggestion to have tier specific zones.


Create zone that only Tier 1 pilots can enter to PvP, possibly with a more NPC target and lootrich environment.


Create zone that only Tier2 pilots can enter to PvP, possibly with a more NPCtarget and loot rich environment.


Create zone that only Tier3 pilots can enter to PvP, possibly with a more NPC target and loot rich environment.

Restrict Kessel to Tier 4 pilots only.

Deep Space is already for Tier 5 pilots.


This concept will completely level the playing field. Nothing makes me more angry than to see power players, on the ground and in the sky, that take pleasure in killing lower level players (ala killing the TEF'd dancer in the cantina).

Why is everyone putting such weigh on the title "Ace"? Did you gloat when you mastered Teras Kasi? Did I gloat when I mastered Doctor? No. It's a profession, and getting master doesn't mean that i'm the best, it means that I am skilled to use the tools of the trade. And so pilot should be.


This idea that Ace means that only a handful of players on an entire server should be able to get master level pilot is ridiculous. Let me break down the problem into small chunks so you can digest it:


1) Putting the Master mission in Kessel makes it so you have to fight off both high level npcs and other players

2) The current system of PVP makes it so you die in one or two hits. No exceptions

3) A small group of players that mastered before the majority have now taken it to themselves to stop other players from mastering

4) A full or nearly full group of players can not complete the mission while fighting off even a smallgroup of playerenemies that can kill us in one hit who come back every minute to two minutes and are specifically targeting us and only us. This is not because of lack of skill, as we had all gotten to tier 4 at that point and had pretty good equipment.

5) Rebels are given a severe disadvantage, because while imperials (and neutrals) can repair and return quickly, we spawn at a station that only repairs 3/4 of our damage every 5 minutes, meaning we have to jump to another sector, repair and jump back.


This is called griefing. You can say you're fighting for your side all you want, but it's making it impossible for players and most people say "oh, just try again when the server isn't as busy." That is not an acceptable solution. Fighting off griefers doesn't mean I'm an ace, it's means I'm dealing with a critically flawed design for the master level missions.


Maybe it will change when we get damage mitigation for pvp, but i'm doubtful at this point. I think the same people will just come in larger numbers and we'll have the same result.

My definition of fun is forcing everyone to come to me to PvP for the title. If you take that away, then you take my fun away and your premise, stated above, no longer holds true for everyone. I may have the minority opinion, but I am not alone in this point of view.



I enjoy Pvp, But Those who don't I would rather let them do it there way, and Those who do enjoy Pvp Those are who I Will want to fight against.

I still would like to know why this would be so hard to implement?


Take 2-5 years of graphic design, art and programming then you'll see the answer. Some experience designing Video games also.

It doesn't come down to hard boslo... It comes down to fast. They are focused on the combat revamp right now and a profession revamp for pilot less than amonth after it came out is just out of order.

Your proposal involved maing a new skill box in the professions and adding more content such as a ship reward and or clothing rewards. Pvp doesn't have to go away, those that liked the system can declare overt while doing their master mission. I would probably even give that a try at some point. I am all for space pvp.. I want to see groups defending the star destroyers, while other groups attack it. I want to see x-wings and b-wings and everybody getting involved. 10 people in cookie cutter advanced vessels killing people loading and vulturing over a mission is not pvp, and isn't what i envisioned when i bought this expantion with the intent to participate in pvp as well.

Read it the first few times, but the mission wasn't coded for outside of kessel, it can be done and they may indeed do it, but they felt the PvP was unfair so they stopped it for now. It is time to give them time.
