yup your right, its not fair, however, life isnt and no-one including the dev's care, so fight fire with fire, if you cant complete your master without going into pvp space, take 10 friends with you and gang bang thier ass just like they are trying to do to you.

The point is we shouldnt HAVE to fight them. The devs completely ignored the 80% of the playerbase and basically lied to us AGAIN when they said pvp would be consentual in space. You shouldnt be forced into something that 80% of the SWG population DOES NOT enjoy when doing your PvE master mission. Notice I say PvE not PvP. Just because the mission is in a PvP zone doesnt mean its a pvp mission. You can complete it with having little to no pvp at all, oops cant now since there are already 200 pilot aces in there ruining it for the rest of us. Devs, you must prepare for the inevitible and get the mission out of Kessel. Its only going to get WORSE. More masters each day just means more pvp which for most pvp'ers is the endgame. Devs let the 80% of the population who dont want anything to do with pvp have a fighting chance at least??? notice the majority agree with my ideas and very few agree with the current idea.

It only causes RPG carebears with no patience or skill to quit. So what if I get blown up trying master, I guess it just wasnt my day. Go to bed wake up and try again another. Us "griefers" just have more patience and smaller egoes when it comes to killing or being killed. You guys who fear the griefers so bad, you let them win by not beating them at their own games. Why do you think its called a kessel run and not a milk run? Do something about your ship and make it faster- make the kessel run.
Ya maybe its a flame but screw all this spam already. can't you guys keep this rant to one thread instead of redundantly spamming it 100s of times over and over?
Flag on the play- invoking the word "carebears".
Penalty: Being mocked and ignored as someone who has totally demonstrated the problem being argued. Congratulations, you've proved the point!
Reason: Only an fool would call someone an "RPG carebear" when they're talking about an MMORPG.
Duration: Until puberty has passed.
HTH/HAND!

Now people are upset cuz someone with better weapons then them kills them in 1-3 shots.I agree that the master missions should be removed from the pvp sectors and i like the idea of putting a timer in so u dont get load killed(tho i dont mind getting load killed myself due to my experience in planetside). But other then that there is nothing wrong with the pvp system currently used in jtl.......if u die in one shot then learn to do evasive moves and dont give the other guy a clear shot....or take wing men with u to watch ur back. Unlike the ground game this system forces u to use tactics and become more skilled in order to survive.
It's not people with better weapons... masters do it to each other. From what I've seen and read, the master-level weapons deal out more damage in one or two shots than you can actually pack onto your ship in terms of armor and shields.
It's not someone going in and getting pwned in a Scyk. I've seen stories where people are getting blasted out of the sky in one shot while in a heavy fighter by a light fighter. And apparently the best PvP rig out right now is no armor or shields, and the biggest weapons/booster you can get, so you can get that first shot in and end the encounter.
That's not skill, and it's not dogfighting.

Okay, I cancelled my sub, and never bothered to buy JtL, but just to venture a comment.....
How do you figure 1 shot kills is "ok?" How is that star wars? What's the point of shields and armor if you can be 1 shotted?

And that's what you would like, huh? This is a MMORPG, we are supposed to do roleplaying here. PVP is just a nice option we have, or at least that's how it should be in my book.

But you donb't have to do it, no one is forcing you to go there. You want to be a master pilot? Then you willingly go there knowing that it will be tough, and hard.
I don't understand why having every player make Master (in any class) is a right? It should be a reward for someone that went that extra mile, and got the reward for working hard, not something that is so common it means nothing anymore.
How many aces are there? Very few, and they are feared everywhere because they are better then others, and I think that having every other player be that level demineshes the experience.
I could, and do, say the same about Jedi - there should be very very few, if any.

But it is optional. You don't have to be a Master Pilot. There is no one forcing you to do that. It is a matter of choice - You want to get that level, you accept the consequences.
I think it is a good start on SOE + LA part, to keep the master classes out of the hands of every player that thinks he deserves to be the best at everything without working towards it. Case in point, the horrible change in Jedi - from something that should be the rarest thing ever - they may not be common, but now guides on how to become FS are out, and things like that.

Someof uslike to roleplay freighter pilots or smugglers. To accomplish this, we need to be able to fly multipassenger ships (freighters) like the Nova, YT-1300 or Decimator. To be able to fly one of those, we have to master a pilot profession.
And also, something common just doesn't mean something anymore only to those, who don't really enjoy the benefits they get from it and just want to feel 'better' than others and brag about it. I don't have to be 'uber', I just want my own transport and be a smuggler, that's what I always wanted to be, ever since I heard of this game. Of course, they it would be great to implement player smuggling for this as well, but we'll have to work with the tools we have now for some time still, I'm afraid.
