Thread: n00b question
Last night while on Dathomir myself and a few friends were doing some Baz missions. A combat medic joined us and we went about our missions. While we were fighting we noticed some kind of small white ball hitting us and our pets, we asked after awhile what is was and the combat medic said it was his ranged heal.
We were fighting alot and I didn't get to ask him what skill line that was from what CM tree. I'm 1st aid 4 away from becoming a CM. My question is what was that skill called and from what CM skill line ?
Thx for any replies.
I've tried different names, different types ie Droid & NPC, NPC & Machine, NPC & NPC but nothing seems to work - what am I doing wrong?
I have one more question if anyone can just confirm this for me.
I know we have the bug where anything that ends up in the stockroom is irretrievable, I put my vendor up 7 days ago and stuck about 60 items on it, so I have just got about 11 emails about things that have not sold, with all these items now in the stockroom - so I take it there is no way to cancel the countdown of 7 days for items being on then vendor? - and this is how most people end up with stuff stuck in the stockroom?
thanks.
Unless Pet Stims are changed drasticly in the future, you will be much happier you went with medic. This coming from a BE/CH.... ![]()

I don't understand why you're saying that. If I use Pet Stim B's (you get with the second line of Tissue Engineering), I'm making 400 pt heals which heal 3 different pools (effective 1200pt heals). I'm also working on becoming a doctor and my people stim D's (which most likely this person would only be able to use B's due to medical use) heal for 400-1400 total in one pool. The B's this person would be able to make would most likely only heal for about 200-300, and trust me, it takes a while to fully heal a high pet with those.
The only benefit I see with going the medic route is that the pet stims take specialized components. However, I've yet had problems getting what I need (although I can't get high quality Talusian fungus, nothing over 125 OC yet out of 2 different kinds but that's still getting me up to 425pt Pet Stim B's).
Just my $0.02...
The only reason I picked up medic was to heal my pets. If I didn't have to heal them I would have put the points into something else, like an additional combat skill.
Even now with the new CH regen rates while stored there is still a need to heal pets in the field. My plan is to make Pet-stims (as long as I can use the strongest ones) and put 1 or 2 points into Pharmacology so I can use Stim-Bs on people. Just enough to heal in a pinch...

Let me rephrase that:
I'm working on becoming a better doctor. I already have novice doctor and 5 boxes in it.
