I certainly do NOT agree with that.

Although it is better than the friday feature.

Oh sorry, no friday feature this week, just like last week. Infact I hve been very dissapointed with the complete lack of communication and information this last week.

Where is everyone?

I guess they are all with the corespondants having a good old laugh at us while enjoying fine wines and swedish cheese

There have been friday features the last 2 weeks if you have paid attention: last weeks was the village and the week before was the JTL starter guide, 2 weeks ago was shown in the forums and last weeks was right on the main page. You should look in other places besides the forums.

you are right I didnt notice that, maybe because for the last year a dev has posted the friday feature on th forum. Which goes back to one of my points. The last weeks dev-community communication has been very poor. Apart from the usual test center updates which have been great,

Agreed. We need requirements now or many will be really pissed off the their system can't take it.

More than likely the requirements will be about the same as they are for SWG. Those fancy graphics are E3 super graphics type crap. It just wouldn't be necessary or smart to have super lag graphics in a game that requires speed...

it should be obvious if you can run SWG currently... you'll have no problem with JtL, in fact JtL will be even easier on your system req. wise then Empire divided due to the fact that there's less terrain to render. so if you can run SWG now... you can run JtL no problem. its not like they'd release an expansion that most of its consumer base couldnt already play on their current SWG set ups

I say 64mb vid card, 128mb ram, and aol dial up. Min

the highest you can gofor recommended.

but it's a waste of money to upgrade your system to play this game becuase it's set for dial up.

I have an area 51 from alienware

5900 ultra 256mb,

p4 3ghz,

2gig ram

3meg down/256k up cable connetion.

It plays like the if I had the min.

The Devs have previously said durring the E3 demos, that the space portion will in fact be more flicker free, due to the fact that a terrain, buildings, fauna, etc., dont have to be rendered with each move or turn. With this in mind, it would seem very resonable that if you can run SWG fine, JTL will run fine as well, and perhaps even a bit better framerate-wise.

You could always lower the galactic effects and models as well. But, I don't think that will be needed.

And...in space...no one can hear you spam constantly at the spaceport and cantinas...

DEVs, please post JTL system requirements NOW!!!...I know its a little too early to tell us this info, but I sure hope you give it out soon

==================================================================

Which is it, do you want them to post the requirements NOW or soon?

You do realize part of the Beta is to finalize the requirments and that anything they post now will change.

I sure don't want to get back from the game store on JTL release, open the plastic wrap, plunk the disc in and install the game, and find the dreaded system popup message telling me my system isn't compatible! A nightmare none wish to face, to be sure.

==================================================================

You do realize there as a section of printing on each box that tells you the minimum and suggested system requirements? If you check this before buying it you will avoid this nightmare like everyone else.

On a positive note, I beleive as long as your system works with SWG (hardware T&L) then it will work with JTL. In fact I have a system that does not meet the CPU or memory requirments and I can play. Sure I have to have all the graphics turned down and I cannot move through cities very well but for hunting alone or sitting is a med center healing and crafting, it works well. With the lack of stuff in space, I would even bet I could play a decent PvE game in JTL.
