I know little as I Played there little but I will say this. Don't try to go past tier 2 unless you know ALOT more about space then me cause it can get costly QUICK... BUT you hit tier 2 and stick to tier one? you get nice drops money collects fast and you hardly die. Nice cash cow since anyone who is beginning is TOTALLY screwed with the current economy... build up money for your ground game then do that... after you finish with your ground game come back to finish this.

Also if you can get a multi player ship like I got my yuaght it's basically a moble home in space... GREAT view and the best 'looking' house in game... I have NO clue whatsoever why anyone with a ship that can see into space would want to have their main home on the ground. Travel is free and my home is a starport away. That my friend rocks.

JTL is great, like the player said...If you want a Star Wars momment you will find it in space. The only complaint I have are the missions from the trainer.

If you attempt the higher tier missions solo, you will more than likely fail. If after a long time of searching, begging, bribing, guilt tripping, spamming you are lucky

and find a wingman that is close to your level you may succeed and progresss. If your really fortunate to find one of the bored ace's willing to go up for 45 min to an

hour, the missions suddenly become boring and way to easy. While you are little to no help and hanging back to keep the higher tier spawns from killing you and

causing you to repeat the mission from step one again. If by chance you do have to start over, expect your bored wingmen to bail on you, not that I blame them.

The training missions are designed for others to have fun, get xp and loot. I don't know why this is, but aftergetting to 3332 imperial inquisition that is my opinion.

I am not against grouping, I love a good challenge and I don't mind repeating a mission to explore tactics. But as I have said a number of times, these are my

missions andto capture the star wars experience fully I want to be the oneintegral to completeing the mission, not the ace and friend 1-2 shot killing the spawns

I havevery little chance to take out.

I suspect in the dev's minds they realized that after Ace there was little to keep people interested and that the ace's would be thrilled to jump at the chance to help

other players. Hope that is true on the other servers, mine isn't that way. Hell even the shipwrights have stopped crafting, there is no market.

But one day I will be ace and fly my Decimator. Might bejust around the space station because to fully crew it will be hard with the lack of interest in JTL.

I love space. I get tired of hunting of the ground, I go to space. I want a change of scenery, I go to space. I need money, I go to space. Soemone pisses me off in character or in game, I go to space. I want to enjoy the simulated freedom of flight, I go to space. Pretty much any time I have a moment to spare, I'm in space. Any one of my friends needs help with a mission, they know they just have to ask me if I want to help, and they'll get an all caps'Hell yeah!"

It had a very good honeymoon for me. I consider it worth what I paid for it. It was cool.pvp was very fun, the 6 times I was lucky enough to find it. Its still good after honeymoon, just not every day like it was for a couple weeks. I burnt out when I saw no one else overt. The pvp fights are much like anything you'd expect in anyFPS, fast and brutal. Plus sometimes its a funner way to farm for creds.

Should I even bother?

Yes you should bother. I like JTL a lot but I will admit there is almost nothing that an average player would find rewarding after making master. You get access to master level ships which there is no content for. You get access to MP ships which are still bugged and have no content designed for them. The sector designed for master players is bugged for freelancer pilots.

TBO JTL players have had a rough few months since January with nagging issues not being fixed and a complete absence of new content added. (Duty missions don't count IMO)

I say stick with it. Make master if you haven't because all JTL needs to dominate over the SWG ground game is some in-game tools to help players get organized. I know there are lots of people who want help with missions and lots of players willing to help but the game does not make it possible for these people to find each other easily.

Our hope is that ROTW is also going to be adding Master Level Content which is direly needed at this point.

We get the Mining Ship at Ace, not to mention all those Tier 4 additions. As for the quests to get the new chassis; my guess would be that Master Pilots will have a much easier time with them.

Uhh... CALM DOWN.

I like JTL and am very, very happy with my purchase. To answer your question "Why the hell did I buy it if I'm so negative?"

1) I wasn't negative, I was asking IF IT WAS AS NEGATIVE as so many people here say it is.
2) I bought it because I saw a sealed copy for $4.99 in a bargain bin and knew it was a good deal whether or not I liked it, because I would at least be able to travel instantly to any starport without having to bounce around planets -- THAT alone was worth $4.99.

So while I think you owe me an apology for attacking me so senselessly, I'm very happy with JTL and don't see myself leaving space any time soon -- it's too fun. I even worked my character up to Novice Shipwright so I could play with that.

This post is exactly why the negative troll types are bad for the game. This person who just got JTL already, before even really trying it out, is convinced that space is lame. Which is completely and absolutely untrue.

Gallbearer, dont listen to the negative naysayers bud. Thats pretty much a rule of thumb in all MMORPG forums. Some folks derive their gaming pleasure by souring forums with hate (which helps nobody).

Head up to space and check it out for yourself and make your own decisions. Myself and my guild absolutely love JTL. Ive been heading to space since JTL's beta and i still love it death. I think its fantastic, but thats just me.

You too, dude, CALM DOWN. I was ASKING IF IT WAS LAME. Do you even read? I bought JTL for $4.99 and was wondering if I SHOULD BOTHER.

That's not negative, that's asking for INPUT. Sadly, input from people like you and Ghost-Raven are worthless and are actually the ones trolling, not me.

Gallbearer, relax, im on YOUR side. Re-read my post again slooooowly buddy. Im not calling you a troll. Im reffering to those that spew negativity all over the boards just to do it. I meant that the fact that you had to post your question the way you did was because of Trollers spreading hate and rubbish, convincing you partially about something that isnt even true. I realize you are simply looking for advice and i gave ya some (its in the middle).

After re-reading my post, i can see how it could be taken the wrong way tho, my apologies for that.

See ya in space /salute
