It looks the same as a regular Tie Fighter - it is just slightly darker in color and has more mass (around 39K mass if I remember correctly).
no...it's a purpley colour hence In for INDIGO
No, it's not purple, it's violet.

It is exactly the same model as the TIE Fighter, just darker. The designation came up because the TIE's in ANH looked white on screen (and the toy) where the TIEs in later movies looked gray. One of the Tech Journals covered this continuity break by saying that it was a new model, the TIE ln. In the game the differences are the mass (40K vrs 20K) and the speed modifier (some say it is .97 vs the .98 for the fighter). Even though it looks the same you want it, double the mass is always a good thing!
TIE Fighter can get up to 35K not 20.

With a good shipwirght you can get it to 35K. 20K is grind quality.

its 40k, the tie fighter is 20k
I asked a bunch of shipwrights and they said the Tie Fighter, fully experimented with great resources, can achieve around 21K. The Tie/In is around 40K (same conditions). If someone can make it 35K, what server are they on and what resources stats are they using? Even the shipwright forum says that a regular Tie Fighter is around 20K. Just curious is all....

Well, you need the best resources and a master shipwright. Check out this thread:

Wow! I'd love to see one of these on Kauri - mass is always such a pain on any ship with decent handling and speed. I guess we just haven't spawn the right combo of resources to make one of these (or no one has tried) yet. Thanks for the link!
equiped right that lil thing rocks

The T/ln is what replaced orginal ties out in the front lines of the empire. It's acutaly a very capable ship and handles wonderfully. Work it right you can squeeze in a MKIII shield, L6 engine, L7 cannon and the usual assortment of supporting components. The Chassis YPR stats on this ship acutally exceed that of the T/I or T/A.
