You do need JtL enabled. If not all you get is the "reward not granted" message when you select the yacht from the box.

No, it's because your reward is a starship and you don't have JTL and therefore can't... use a starship...

I had a lot of trouble with this during the beta. it didn't display the correct milestone for my account, one time it gave me just a painting instead of the ship. When I did it to work I got the message "you have chosen a reward rank lower than your milestone. Are you sure you want to claim it?", but the only option was the ship fo rhtat rank. When I got the ship, I think I got a different version of it than I supposed to because other people were talking about painting their ships and their ships were furnished and decorated. Mine was unpaintable and unalterable and completely empty. Because of the trouble I was having I /bug'ed it, and reported it in the beta forums as well as sent a message to the support dept. Maybe that's why the command's not working right now. Let's hope so.

BTW-The correct syntax is:
/claimVeteranReward
It's case sensitive, and if you don't get the caps right, nothing will happen.

Ok I am a little confused... I qualify for the 450 day reward (I'm a geek who's played since Launch), but the reward doesn't seem to be any different from the 180 day reward. The ship is still only good for 180 days or whatever. Should I just pick the 180 day option instead of the 450 day option? HELP!!!

It doesn't matter which day reward you pick. Those slots are just there for place holders for further rewards that they may or may not implement. The only reward is for 180 days and that is the Yacht. You have to have JTL enabled to claim it. I will try it tonight and report back on this to see if it works before and after I enable JTL.

I tried before JTL was enabled and I got nothing, like the original poster said. I tried right after I enabled JTL and got the box. This even worked before I trained novice pilot. Also, type the whole command with the correct case /claimVeteranReward (just to be super sure).
