xwing vs tie fighter is an absurd comparison to make to this game. does xwing vs tie fighter have more intricate missions? undoubtedly. did it have more ship graphics? hmmm maybe. is it a better space sim? no, not at all.

JTL has better graphics. JTL has a great interface. JTL has a complex advancement system. JTL let's you fly a variety of ships, JTL allows player vs player content. JTL allows co-op content, JTL has a complex ship management system, JTL has better sound, the list literally could go on and on.

just because you load up into space alone, and don't approve of the limited mission variety you are exposed to doesn't mean it's a poor game, in actuality JTL is an incredible game and there is really not much else out there like it. furthermore, it's rife with challenges and it's rare that someone truly masters all of them. for certain, the OP surely has not even come close. perhaps it's him that is boring?

I got JTL when it first came out and loved it and played it all the time. After a month or so my time in space dwindled to almost nothing. But since the cu and more to the point ROTW hit I have been loving space again. I have leveled my jedi to Master Pilot. Nothing like a jedi piloting a jedi fighter. And I am also leveling another acct of mine to Master Privateer. Need to get that dam Blacksun Helm.

Last nite i took my alt and a few friends into Deep space in my Decimator. This ia a multiplay ship that can hold up to 20 people on board. Trust me I have had that many. Well we had one fighter escort and I had a crew of 5 on board. Most were in need of exp but one or two were alreay ace pilots that just wanted to come for the fun of it. We had a blast. Took out over a dozen corvettes 20 gunboats and countless Rebel fighter.

Whats the point of JTL or PVP or PVE you ask. Well the whole thing is about having fun. That is why we all play SWG. Beleive it or not some actually enjoy being a dancer and the social interaction in the game. While some love to be a crafter for one reason or another. This game has many facats to it that it is loved by many people for many differant reasons. Maybe JTL is not your cup of tea. But hop a ride in a multiplayer craft and head out to Deep Space for some fun.

And I also have it on good authority that our next expansion is going to be based in space a lot. Inluding boarding Imperial Star Destroyers and flying Freighter size ships.
