This could shed even more light to the distance of a parsec, using Coruscant instead of Earth as the base.

they talk about this in the directors comentary for ANH.

Since hyperspace is a constant "speed" and all ships in hyperspace travel at the same speed, a fast run covers less ground. The Falcon has the uber nav-comp, so is able to cut closer to stars and other objects than other nav-comps will allow, allowing it to make the same jumps other ships can in less time. I'm not really into the EU, but this seems to mesh with the maw referance above.

and yes, we are on a board discussing a game where you pretend to be a blaster wielding rancor killer. If your here and you're not a geek, then you are in denial.

nobody, so i wish people would shut up about it. Don't get me wrong...I'm a huge SW fan, but just because he didn't murder Greedo, doesn't mean that he's not the most kick-ass character in star wars.

why is everybody saying lucas messed up? my point wasn't waht is a parsec, my point is whoever wrote solo's in-game dialogue messed up by writing 17 instead of the movie's 12

LOL

This thread reminds me of another movie

REVENGE OF THE NERDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, Lucas screwed up and people in the future covered for him. Problem solved.

As to the question actually posed. I though it was painfully obvious by now that everyone employeed by SOE to work on the SWG project has never seen the Star Wars movies.
