Can't imagine to fly without a stick...

And it is absolutely possible to hold the target exact in firing position with a good stick (which gives some 'counterforce').

I am using a Sidewinder ForceFeedback 2 - to bad Microsost stopped the productline.

I love the joystick but I had to switch the roll and yaw becasue they seem backwards when left default.

A joystick.... completely...

Not only is completely easier to manage, you will probably not end up with your hand hurting so much from using the mouse or the keyboard.

Not only that, you'll have an easier flow of motion during the turns and the combat.

My suggestion, don't buy a generic cheap one... go get a joystick with a throttle lever as well. It helps adjust speed easily to the right speed. If you have the cash, then also get one that has a rudder control built into the joystick... that will help you perform rolls. But I think that the minimal is the joystick and the throttle control.

More than worth it. I use a Thrustmaster HOTAS (Hands on throttle and stick) and it makes all the difference in the world. YES, YES, YES!!!

Should i bother getten a joystick or controller for JTL. i seem to be doing fine with the keyboard but it is somewhat difficult...do you guys recomend a stick?

thanks in advance!

It's like asking, "should I play with my monitor turned on?" Having a joystick makes SUCH a huge difference.

In beta, I would have said no, why waste your money. The ship controls were so sloppy that the mouse was the best interface. But in live, the ships are much better for controlability so I definately recommend a joystick.

You can get a pretty decent stick from bestbuy for $20-$25. It won't be force feedback, but I don't like force feedback. It's well worth the 20 bucks to pick up a stick and find out for yourself. I wouldn't fly any other way.

Kinda like the guy up there said about playing with the monitor off.
