Heh that 9% is completely untrue. I myself have been to over 17 other countries(I'm only slightly below voting age in weeks), lived in 2 others (including part of your commonwealth) and been to England (I rather liked your Island), but in my school only about 30% of the people havent been to ,at the least, Canada or Mexico. I give your country respect, I don't ask for your respect of me, but I do of my country.

Well we are getting of the point a bit here arent we.

Anyway Dranu i think you should go back to school and learn maths - i dont think one person (you) constitutes more than 9% of your countrys population - do you?

And your right i was wrong - according to the US State Department 15% of americans have passports and half of those have never left america.

Please dont turn this into a i hate your country posting. Weve all seen enough of 12 yr old yanks saying "Y00r c00nt4y sux, USA roxxors, well nuke y00!!!" and next well get some paranoid peacenik saying saddam hussein was just a misunderstood man and george bush is an evil dictator. Although saying that, america is the only country to have used a nuclear weapon in an act of war against a population centre (twice) and its president is the head of state as well as head of the armed forces (dictator anyone), and we all know about electoral irregularities in florida, plus america is the largest contributor to foreign terrorist organisations (IRA, PLO anyone), methinks its time for a regime change!!!!!!!

You know you are repeatign the same stuff the media is spewing out. Did u know there was a lawsuit pending before the votes came out? There was no irregularity about it, except the other party tried to sue into office. Of course the media sides with them. ( you should know your self that people into journalism are the type looking for change, and often radical change.)As I have traversed the world I have seen the lies (that our own media often supplies) that media has often spread in hope for an outcry. Second a dictator dictates laws, the president can only veto or pass, and if it he does veto it, the states can choose to veto the veto (hehe) or congress can overrule the veto as well. And in our system, if u were not aware, we have three branches of government (yes executive is state). Also the president may very well be commander and cheif, but he cannot declare war, he can only move the peices. Second with the atom bomb, of course we were the only country to use it (on an urban populous), and thanks to us and the U.N, no other nation has, and about the IRA, well thats one statistic I have to agree with you on, I think many americans tho dont relize the evils they bring to you guys, just as you can't claim to understand everything that goes on over here without livingt it.

Look, if you don't want to turn this into a "I hate your country" post, maybe you should lay off.

After reading the post about how the UK is not in Europe, I checked three maps of Europe, and the UK was in each one.

As far as Americans being overweight and obese, sure, there is a problem in this country, but the UK isn't the picture of health either.

And the comment that the UK's soldiers are cleaning up the mess in Baghdad just made me laugh. Let's face it, nobody can clean that up except the countries in the Middle East when they are willing to sit down and work out their differences instead of engaging in massacres of each other.

Most Americans have resigned themselves to thefact that a lot of the international community hates us for the actions of some of our leaders. We've also resigned ourselves to the fact that we'll never be appreciated for whatever contributions we've made to the world.

If you think our President is a dictator, then you need to go back to school and check out how the system of checks and balances works. Our President does not use the military to enforce his will on Americans. The only time anything that remotely approached this happened is when several states attempted to secede from the Union back in the 1800's, and I might add that they fired the first shot at Fort Sumter in South Carolina.

Please don't point to Britney Spears as the poster child for Americans. She is just a big a joke here in the United States as she must be in the UK and Europe.

All that being said, I think it sucks how so many other places are getting JTL and the UK is left out. Activision is really screwing you guys around and you have a right to be upset about it. Despite some of the loud mouth "Yanks," try not to take it out on all of us and focus your anger and disappointment where it really deserves to be placed--Activision. Hopefully, the team at LA won't let them distribute a game to you guys again.

Bloody hell, take a chill pill, i was being sarcastic, however i do think it wouldnt benefit americans if they actually travelled and saw the world as you are, by far, not indicative of the typical american. This of course causes other people from other countries to form negative opinions of americans and this then causes less americans to travel and experience other places and cultures and this....... well you get the point its a perpetuating cycle. And im glad that at least one american knows the something of the truth of groups liek the IRA. After all if america did what they told us to do you would now have senator Bin Laden and governor Hussein in your government. Also, the bombing in omagh several years ago killed proportionally more people in northern ireland than the twin towers killed in the US yet the US government still gives protection and support to murderous scum who terrorrize their greatest allies citizenry. Oh and, the only political party in the UK not to make a statement of sympathy for america nor a statement condemning Bin Laden was the Sinn Fein the political wing (and overall commanders) of the IRA. After all , they made loads of money training Al Qaeda and other islamic group operatives as well as carrying out operations for them - why bite the hand that feeds you. Thats why many citizens of my country where, while appaled, still happy on the 11th of september as we hoped america would keep its nose out of our business and let us defend OUR freedoms and perhaps help us, unfortunately that didnt work out. Although it is interesting to note that out of all the nationalities working in the twin towers the northern irish , proportionally , lost less people and where credited with saving others as they were the onloy ones who knew not to stay in the buildings. Strange how the world works isnt it.

Anyway that is the end of this discussion about politics and terrorism., its way of the point, and as a wise man once said "Arguing on the internet is like running in the special olympics, even if you win your still retarded!"

Didnt want to give anyone the impression that i dont like america or americans per se - its just a lot of things about america and a lot of americans i dont like.

Dont take it personally, i hate everyone that isnt me. And country wise i probably hate germans and germany more.

And my comments arent meant to be taken seriously i dont consider arguing on the internet a particularly clever thing to do - its just when you get me started its hard to turn it off.

Thanks for your comments about activision, you are right. From another thread i have noticed that a lot of others have just bought a key for the game and patched the files cutting out the UK distributor completely, hopefully they will get the hint. It would be nice to see how many copies activision sell compared to how many UK players of JTL there are in a month or 2.

lol yes i suppose ure right about arguing on the internet, but Id just like to make 2 more points.

-we defend the IRA as much as we defend arab terrorist, (we let them preach what they like in the U.S., but you can be sure as anything that we are monetering them, and will snatch em up in a moment if they cause any direct threat. Problem is funds are able to trickle thru to both parties (one of the many prices of freedoms). Also I may have traveled alot, but let me tell u alot of the ignorant people in the U.S. are the people who would likely side with u. I'm not saying at all that ure ignorant, I'm just saying they are recorders playing what they often hear on the media, but I have faith in my country, and the fact that I've been able to get around, I can atribute to this country and its people.

Cant be that - we will be waiting for ever - the ground game is still bugged - its all moot now anyway as i have ordered a key like most people are doing and activision will have to find a dark place to stick a couple of hundred thousand CD boxes in 2 weeks time (I can think of a few places!!!).

I don't want to disappoint you but Everquest 2 is released in the UK on the 12th of November, also being distrubuted by Activision and i doubt they will not want to release it on the same day as that. Someone told me, close to Activision, not to expect it till the first week in December as Activision want to release there "BIG GAMES" unaposed

Its being stated by Garva, you need the CD as the downloaded version has files missing that help with rendering. A lot of people who have just activated the key are having minor problems with the game that would be solved by having the CD.

UK got a lot more red tape BS it has to go through. One of them is a department that goes over it to give it its age rating of it's own even though it's bloody been rated by USA and other Euro departments for it.

I spoke to Activision UK this morning and they were a little...err...uninformative.

Me: I'd like to enquire about the release date on some software

Activision: Certainly, which game is it that you're interested in?

Me: Jump To Lightspeed.

Activision: Ah yes, I have a press release here somewhere (rustling of papers) 5th November at the earliest but as late as the 12th November.

Me: So it MAY be out tomorrow?

Activision: Yes

Me: And it MAY not be out til next Friday?

Activision: Thats correct.

Me: And you don't know which?

Activision: At this time.

Me: Thank you, do you have a phone number for Living TV? Maybe Derek Acorah can ask Sam for me? He always knows...

Activision: errrr

Me: Bye!!
