More like 1/8, depending on your theories about how many professions the holos will give you.
I'd suggest finishing BH, in any case: it would suck to have to do all that hard work later if you did need to, and while you're at it hopefully some more useful info on what else needs doing will pop up - someone might even open the first slot!
And, of course, picking up some more holocrons while you have the ability is a good idea.
Actually its a lot less than that. You dont actually have to get the master box in the profession from what i understand. Instead there is a random box you need, and the holocron says master the proffession because it will gurantee you get that box. the chances that you need the last3 boxes you havnt gotten are very low if this is the case...
if not.... sue me

While that's possible, it's certainly not an assumption I'd be happy making - partly because it's just a theory, partly because it contradicts what the holocrons say, and partly because I don't think it's worth the risk (although the last two boxes of BH investigation XP might indeed be more trouble than they're worth even in this case).

I think you need a reminder in how probability works. There are 30 professions to choose from. The first time you use a Holocron the probability of you getting any specific profession is 1/30. That profession is then removed from the pool of possibilities, so the second Holocron use has a 1/29 chance of getting any specific profession.
If there were 8 professions to master then there would be a 1/23 chance of the Holocron telling you to master a certain profession. The probability is based off of the total number of professions in the game, not the total number you would have to master.
By the way, if the number of professions to master is 8 then the probability of you choosing those professions on your own is 1/235,989,936,000 For the sake of reference the probability of choosing the professions on your own with only 2 requires is 1/870.
I was a 2-4-4-4 BH myself. I dumped it immediately. Those 200 hours are not worth the "possibility" that you might have to grind 'em out. In 200 hours you could master quite a few of the other professions. My first holo said "pistoleer", which I've finished, and my second said "smuggler", which I'm half done with atm. Mastering both of thesewill be NOTHING compared to the time completing those last 2 boxes of BH would have taken me. And if my next holo says BH, well, getting back up to 2-4-4-4 shouldn't be too difficult. It's those last 2 boxes that kill.
