I ground out almost a tier a day killing tier 3 blood razor stuff in Lok space. Then once you are tier 3 you will get lots of xp from your missions. As much as it sucks, if you die a few times per mission, soloing, you will have soo much xp built up you will be able to train immediatly into tier 4 once your done the tier 3 missions. If you can, try getting an Ace to take you aboard a decimator or other POB ship and man turrets. Besides that dont be afraid to ask for help from a stranger.

Good space grinding? theres a place near nyms hovel on lok (look for a corsair station) for unlimited lvl 3 bombers...

Red Sin Chimara on endor for when your 4 3 3 3 will allow you to grind all the way to master....

as for the guy complainin about grinding, well for your info tier two doesnt mean shooting down tier 1 craft! get a master to help you and you'll get it within 5 minutes of kessel or endor

I always say with these low teir people saying space is slow... "Go into Kessel and shoot at stuff then come back to me and tell me how lame and slow it is."

Seriously, shooting at a light fighter for 2 minutes is just rediculus. This is not a destoyer or something, a freakin light fighter. Shields should take 2-3 hits at most and then 2 hits to the armor. Also these planes fly rediculusly slow.
Its almost not even twitch, just depends what kind of equipment you have. Only reason I'm still lvling up is that I'm hoping once you get to ace pilot it will be more realistic... is it?

Make ace, go overt reguarly, and you'll get your wish.

LOL no kidding about the Tier 3 missions. Those are what I'm on right now.

Talk about a pain in the @$$!

Fun and fast as heck though and even though I died a ways into it, I came out of it with 160k Starship XP after about 45 minutes of the missions, with 1 friend at the same spot in leveling as I am.

Level a bit and see what you think.

Yeah, I see that. But dont be too hard on him, it does take getting used to. And if he dosent like the beginning missions... Man wait until he hits those Teir 4 missions.....

I can see the thread now...

Teir 4 missions: Are LAME!

They are too long and they are too hard.

1. Use Droids and programs

2. Use Macros

3. If you get high enough in skill and can hold more then a few programs in your droid get the imperial, nuetral and rebel programs. They will save your life in teir 4 missions.

The bottom half is an answer to your future post so you dont waste server space anymore as there are a million and one LAME posts everywhere on this forum. Pretty much these are all beginners that dont understand the concept or just really dont have the heart to be a pilot at all.

Even in a game it takes alot to be a pilot: Patience, endurance, Money, presiverance, self control and an indomitalbe spirit.

Your missing any of these and you will just want to play the ground game. Warning: Some missions that are ground lead to space missions.

Good luck in the future and good luck in piloting.

Mostly since I have absolutely no qualms about hijacking this particular thread...

What types of macros do you use in space?

I have a short list of them myself, but they are very specific use and rarely used in a general combat situation, so you must have something in mind I'm missing.

is there such thing as a good place to grind space xp (I'm an imp pilot)

My personal favorite is a lone tier 5 that hangs around near the 2nd jumpoint in Dant, about 11000m out. I found it when I was a tier 1 andwould shootat anything with a red box around it, because I didn't know any better. 8k a pop, but you have to wait about 3 minutes for another to spawn. But there is usually a group of tier 3s nearby to pass the time. I leveled all of tier 1 and 2 doing missions and killing that tier 5, mostly during double xp week. I had a bunch of xp left over by the time I got to tier 3. Once in a while, the ship spawns with 3 tier 4 yt1300, which makes it interesting, especially when your a tier 2 and your blasters hit them like soggy spit balls.

But much like my wife, I wore them down until they gave in.

I just built myself a high mass syck and I have been flying tier 4 duty missions with it, but they are a little dry. Any suggestions on a good place to grind a million xp a box quickly? I'm getting bored killing that tier 5 every night.

the lame part is needing to get 240k space xp to get all your tier 2 boxes and only getting 110 space xp per kill...NOW THAT IS FRICKEN LAME. That means I have to kill 2,182 ships before I can fill all my boxes...each ship takes about 30 seconds to 1 minute. At one minute that means 36+ hours for me to get all my tier 2 boxes... and 18+ hours at 30 seconds. That is just ridiculous, not to mention insanely boring.

Try getting an ace friend to help and go to Kessel. If you can have the GBs there disabled, just tap them for 33,000 xp. I finished grinding T2 my second time around in under anhour easily.....its not that hard.

also the misson from the rori space station ( all tear 3-4 ships )is pretty good for xp
