I don't see why you need that many ships is all. Your toon != escort carrier.

Curiosity? I'm trying to understand why you think you need mroe ship slots and you're blasting me for it?

I'm not blasting you. I'm just asking why it matters to you how other people play their game. Do you need all ten lots? Do you have 10 small houses? Some people do. Does that matter in the slightest to you?It shouldn't. It's the same thing with ship slots.

Maybe someone wants to fill all 5 slots with Z-95s with different paintjobs. What difference does it make if it makes them happier without affecting you at all?

Diversity. If I want to take someone up for a tour, I can. If I want to take someone up for taking out the vette, I can. If I want to tootle around in a kimo, I can. Having a certain class ship with a certain loadout for a specific purpose just makes sense. Example:

Its not "fun" when a guildie says "hey the vette is up, come help!" and I have to say, "give me a half hour, I need to launch into space, remove my furnishings and loot, land, strip all my components, redeed, then deed another ship, put all my components back in, and then I'll meet ya in Kessel." By then, the bloody vette has hypered out.

It'd be like someone only having one house, wanted to place another, but having to find somewhere to store all 200 items in it before taking it down and placing a new one. Its just a no-brainer, it doesn't take that much more space or programming to allow more ships in the datapad.

SWG is a lot like the Nicotrol System.

With each patch, you're that much closer to quitting.

I'm a Smuggler Alliance pilot and think the 3 ship limit is good. I have a Krayt, a YT1300 and a dune.. I use all of them. The krayt is when I want to go up with some new peeps to get exp for them really quick. The YT is there for the tours if need be all though thats' pretty lame to do I pretty much have it for the cool factor. My Dune is the ship I use all the time when I'm solo... I mastered with the Dune and did all my grinding in the Dune. I can see why some would want different ships but some can do it with the 3. One more ship slot couldn't hurt though...

Just turn off the star rating system on your profile options. It really serves only as a forum griefing tool.

No problem, man.

The funny thing about this entire thread is that we'd be fine with just ONE ship slot. Heck, you can't fly more than one ship at a time, can ya? But it sure makes it more convenient to be able to store more than one ship.

Being a double-crafter, I'd LOVE to have the additional storage space offered by MP ships without investing in lots. (I don't have a vendor, I preferred having the increased survey range.)

I agree there are some that would need the extra slot because of the way they play or what they want to do in the game... I myself want a second character slot on the same server... But dont want to be a jedi so I'm pretty much hosed unless I want to spend the extra money get another game an another account. I'd love to have another slot for a character but it doesn't look like that is going to happen... The same might be said for the 4th or 5th slot for ships but hey I never thought I would see 80 items in the inventory. I think 3 ship slots is fine for the majority of players however I see the need for some people to have different play styles.

I think 3 slots plus the Yacht is a good system.

Perhaps they could make prestige points worth something and allow you to cash them in for extra ship slots?

Steele Master Debator

When Sony and Lucas set out, we said, 'How can we do this and not make another EQ?' We didn't want it to be all about Luke, or combat, or lock our players into a class. So we created a system that would allow players to switch professions during the game, and there would be a lot of gameplay around making that change. If you want to go from architect to scout we've created a system to make that happen."

I can only have two ships in my datapad, this means ive had to deed my fighter because i want my yt and m-22 [or is it m-21] for normal use but occassionally it would be convenient to have the third slot so that i can take fighter just when doing help missions. I am RSF, I know Imps have three ships on call, why do RSF not have this option? So when you say can you have more than three ship slots, for me it would be good to have three slots...............................................
