Everything you said is true. i tried making a game of pong and it still won't work. the devs have done a great job on this game but the CSR is worthless you lose a item they ussally say there is no record. this is just my opinion not a flame

I was just joking around with the flames, you were surprised an the idea just poped into my head. And I hit the submit post way to fast before my brain started to think again. Anyways, I knew you weren'y looking for flames, just no one was brave enough said anything, so I just thought hehe, I'l do a flam post, but put a note that it was a joke....ya....
Anyways, I agree with you still. And I have even more patience with teh devs. Not saying I yell at them like that, that was in december! But i stoped....
Arg, im rambeling again....Anyways, C'ya!
Note: I am not a kid. I chose this name so I could read the Jedi Fourms when the fourmswent private. All the names I would have prefered, were taken.
yes, my name is stupid.

Good post, I dont hate the game, and I plan on sticking round as long as possible.. the only thing I dont like about this game, is the fact we cant live our own Star Wars Experiences... we've got to live like every other player in the galaxy, were not unique.
but other than that, I like the game, and I hope the timeline changes

I can kinda see where you're coming from where we all have to do the same missions or grind the same skills in each profession but there are a lot of variables in this game that pretty much make everyone someone different.
Especially for roleplayers like myself, this game is a dream true. If there weren't so many people running around in composite armor perhaps you'd see things bit differently![]()
That said, charactersin SWG are far more unique than alot of other games out there.

i agree with the uniqueness of the game ...... there is so much here thatmost ppl dont look at..... I was told this is a Soloing game. I will ignore the fact that i have never seen the word before but focuse instead on the idea that the people who made this game, made it only to be played those who solo. If this were a solo type game why would we have so many emotes, so many social professions, so many different ways for people to come together. Why would the devs themselves assist in creating player run events if they didnt care about bringing the players together. The main problem with so many toons running around in composite armor is that they are wanting to make sure they are the best they can be. Why handicap yourself to lesser armor when Comp is so easily the best. When first placed in the game it was thought that the encumberance would keep the number of players who used it down. But with the booming number of docs out there to buff them, Who cares about enc. anymore.
One time while in groupchat i heardsomeone talking about the price differences between two docs on dant. One doc was selling for 10k while the other was selling for 14k. The second doc was still doing brisk business while the first was floundering. The individual who was speaking couldnt beleive people would pay the extra 4k just for a 400 difference between the buffs. Personally i agreed with that statment that the price was a bit extreme, but i stillthought the market sets the price and not the seller, so i sad something to the effect that that extra 400 could come in handy sometime. He made the statement that it made no difference. That 400 points in the secondary stats did nothing to help or hinder you along.
Early on in the game a person would pay a small fortune for those extra 400 points in anything. though i must say that back then a small fortune could be 6k lol. The point is that once we have gotten to the point where any person can spend three days grinding out a melee profession through some comp armor on, get buffed and then run out and solo just about anything in the game, 400 points really do not matter. And neither does being unique. Neither does style. The devs HAVE put out another couple of sets of armor. But you dont see people running out to get it because of their reluctance to give up their precious comp. They may give the arguement that it is too expensive to purchase and once you et a set you dont want to wear it because it will wear out so quickly, but lets be honest here. the players of this game have lost site of the social aspect of the game. They have forgotten how to work as a group to get things done. If being able to work as a group became the norm instead of the oddity, we would see a very unique game come out of what we have built together.

Ahh....I remeber back a year ago I was anxiously waiting to recive SWG. I got it off Ebay, and as soon as I got it, I installed and played. I got frusfraited at first, and destroyed my character. Then, I made a new one on Gorath. I played, and made a friend who was working on Bounty Hunter. He took me under his wing and took me places I'd never dream of seeing. What a wounderfull time. Durning that time, Bone Armor was a good armor. People were dressed with clothes. I don't think I ever saw a composiset(sp) armor piece out there. It was very unique. Then, the holo grind came, and it was Star Wars Galaxies: A Empire Devided Return of the Clone Wars. This was very dissapointing, I lossed a many friends from holo grinding.
I can't find the Bounty Hunter who helped me get started, and I'm greatly upset about this.
I do wish sometimes they made everything more unique in armor. But they have more then enough on their plate as it is, so I doubt I'll meet any unique people or even unique looking peoplefor a while
*sigh*
yes, my name is stupid.

Finaly,
a place on these forums that has some semblance to reality. I've been hanging out on the forums of late and have gotton more and more frusterated every time I checked out the galactic civil war thread ( or what I like to call the linching mob). True that the linching mob has some truth to it and some cause for what they say . but so did every other mob.
I totaly agree with you that things need to be changed up a bit but things are going in the right direction.
laters every one

Well Pika (I think your name is halfway intresting.... least your brave enough to have a name such as that) It's not that i am looking for flames..... it's just that when someone dissagrees with you, you can open up disscusion about it ..... in this case there is no disscusion because it is an open and shut case. Kinda makes me wish i were't so literate at times

When i first loaded up the game and waited through the patches i was ecstatic about being able to live in the Star Wars Universe. After spending many of my down time hours reading the EU books and dreaming of owning my own little slice of Naboo i couldnt wait. I go through the tutorial, learn the basics, and find myself standing on Cor. After the shock wears off on seeing that they included a MASSIVE help section (compaired to other games i have played in which they would have long been done after the tutorial) I start killing lil buggies that didnt take too kindly to my poking them with a pointy thing. I spent four days playing off and on trying to find other ppl who were not afk. Running around tyrena i couldnt find a single person to talk to. Then i remember getting the message on that first day to ask for help after searching for a helper. I do so asking him about the speeder bikes. To my suprise he replyed and was amazingly helpful. Not only did he tell me about how i could procure items and other simple things but he introduced me to the rest of the game. People like Dogre on Chilastra are the reason we truely enjoy the game. Anytime i ever need to talk over some subject or another he is always there. I don't know what i would do if i lost him like you did Pika. I feel sorry that you cannot find your in game mentor. Wouldnt it be kinda nice if we could nominate players such as these for the helper badge.
