I have to agree. What's the point in playing a MMORPG when all you want to do is play with yourself. What your're looking for is a MSORPG (Massive Single Player Online Roleplaying game).

I agree with the thread starter. There're people likeme who only play 2 or 3 hours everyday tops, maybe a little more on weekends if we don't have anything else to do. And when we do play, we play at odd hours (9pm to 11:00pmmy local time which is 8am - 10amEST in the US), so it's not easy to find people to group with. And missions that take 4 hours to complete? I think that'sis just crazy.

Well, all I can say is that if you don't want to play with others, then play the old X-Wing game, or X-Wing Alliance, or TIE Fighter, or X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter.

You do know that none of those games run well on current hardware, dont' you? If LucasArts ever makes a new singleplayer forcusedX-wing/TIE Fighter game, I'll be gladly quiting SWG for good.

I agree that grouping should be a choice not a requirement.

I play at times when there are not that many people on. What am I suppose to do?

It's not required. It's just 100x easier if the player has some damned common sense and grabs a few buddies. Jesus. Is this THAT big of a deal to you guys? I mean, I made my way to 4-3-3-3 rebel pilot with ONE friend helping me for my missions. And it was a blast.

Also, it doesn't really take that much time to level. You're all crying as if your gameplaystyle has been altered permanently. I've always been of the opinion that you SHOULDN'T be able to solo all the way to master. A true master would know how to work in a group

Another rebel saying they've solo'd up the tree. Let me guess: you did it in a 100k mass X-wing with 3 projectile weapon slots and 2 missle slots. You may have only used to weapons slots, but you had more than enough mass to fit in some pretty damn good shields and armor, droid related stuff and boosters, I'll bet.

Look, I'm not saying remove things from rebels, but really, I'm tired of rebels coming in here with this "I can solo it, you need to be a better pilot" BS. I DARE any rebel to take the Imp pilot tree, and do our missions with a 50k mass Interceptor, with one weapon and one missle slot. THEN let's see you come back to the boards with this crap. Unless you've done it, you can't really say anything about it, and are thus all up in the kool aid without knowing the flavor.

You stated it was hard to solo not impossible. So in the light of liking a good challenge with the right tools for the job I'll still be getting JTL if and when it's ever released in the bloody UK.

Well im 3,3,2,2, and I havent had to have anyone help me yet so it is soloable up to now.

I dont believe anyone should be forced in to grouping to gain advancement in the game. I understand its multiplayer but it shouldnt be mandatory in places like the corvette or dw bunker. At any rate if this game was available as a single player game I would buy it in a heartbeat and save myself the $15 a month. Problem is there isnt any single player game that has this kind of content out there. It seems to me that all the good games or potentially good games nowdays are multiplayer. Kind of like giving the people that prefer single player games the finger.

Hate to say it but TIE fighters are no match for x-wings... thats the plain and simple truth. Its only natural that its mass is way greater and that it holds more weapons. Watch the movies again guys...and get the heck over it. Thats why u seeHUNDREDS of more TIES than rebel ships in the movies... so yeh better suck it up and group

Are all the mission the same ?

I haven t done the beta test, but am I wrong if I say that each division has its sets of different mission.

Maybe some division are easier to level than others ? (mission being more soloable for levelling)

I got to level more to answer that myself, I took Black Epsilon squad and so far it is ok (Iexploded oncetrying to chew bigger than me, but that was not on the mission objective )

To the original post. Tier 3 and 4 missions are designed to encourage grouping but NOT require. I did tier 3 and half of tier 4 completely solo... Sometimes it is essential to reconfigure your ship for concrete missions... I agree they are too long but it's much better then just grinding...

Grouping is okay, but forced PVP is not, in my book.
