Thread: Something I would LOVE to see in JTL

Everybody wants to show off thier ship on the ground. I think they should make a new building an Architect would create that would take up 1-4 lots (Depending on type). The building would resemble a shuttleport and could be placed like a normal building. A one lot port can hold any non-POB ship while the 4 lot one could hold anything. This would greatly benefit the architects and cities. Plus it would be cool as hell to land behind your house and have you pimped out X-wing or Decimator sitting there waiting on you. As an added bonus you could manage the ship through the terminal and see how the new parts will change the look of your ship. Hell you could probably not even have a building just a reserved lot that you could land on. Not quite as good as landing anywhere you want to but still pretty damn cool.
You could also add administrators to you port and allow other people to land there given it's empty. When you log off your ship disapears so that its free to accept new ships.
Just something to think about and maybe its been brought up before but I really think that there has to be someway of doing this.
that wouldent work as let say you log off and friend lands thier ship their but while thier loged on you log back on what would happen to you ship
you ship sould sit thier all the time unless you move it some wear else
personally i think the starports should have doors in the outer edges of the starport ring that lead to instanced rooms where a pilots ships can be seen visibly and shipwrights/other players could be invited into the instance to look, modify, or launch into space.
think "docking bay 94"

This sounds good but it needs to have more restrictions. The devs need to make sure people still access the main cities like Theed, Mos Eisley, Coronet, Tyrena etc.
1) Make it so that only the pilot who owns the station can land there
2) Make it a requirement to be at least a Tier 4 Pilot orMaster Pilot of your given piloting profession to place one
3) Make it cost maintenance if your at Tier 4 but when you make Master make it cost prestige points or something
These are just preliminary ideas but I am sure it could work but again like I said above they need to make sure they don't implement things that make people independant of the player cities.

Great Idea, We'd all love to see this in-game.
NPC City Cantinas still draw people to cities don't they? I don't see why NPC Cities need to have PC traffic anyway...Most of them are deserted in the first place. Only Mos Eisley, Theed and Coronet usually have foot traffic. The rest are usually deserted...

/agreed 110%
I'd love that! Also if you get one of the player event items (event organizer gererally found in theaters of main cities) the shuttle type, (use a control device to call transport shuttle like ones in starports - infinate uses for 8 hours I believe) on a guild hall roof you can get a Shuttle transport or a Lambda to land on guild hall roof!!!
oh, and a /bump since it was @ the bottom of the page
