Instead of the Death Star, why not a Stardestroyer or Super Stardestroyer? I don't like the sound of having a Death Star in JtL, unless it's in a "simulation".

Well I did hear that the saturday AFTER JTL was launched, the death star did appear.
but the idea of a "simulation" of fighting the death star in space combat, OR, some kind of mission that puts you into kessel, get sucked up by one of the black holes, go back in time, conviniently at the same time rebels are up against the first death star, fight alongside them, and thats where we could bring the badge (has destroyed the death star) back into the game! destroy 10 turrets or something, but it would be a one shot mission, cause going into a black hole twice and having the same effect happen again would be just too conspicuous

First off, you have the problem that the DEVs would have to code it, this could take a loooong time, as nothing this intensive has ever been done for space combat. Two, it would likely lag horribly because you're generating huge amounts of terrain, dozens of other player ships, PvP combat, PvE combat (presuming you're going to add NPCs in there somewhere), anti-aircraft fire from the turrets, it would be impossible to run unless you have an uber computer. Third, it would kill the storyline. Minor point, seeing as how it's already absolutely borked. If you introduced it as a simulator youcould get around this problem.Fourth, you would have a hard time convincing Imperials to defend it. System message "The Death Star is under attack!", Imperials "Again?! **** it...., I'm not dropping everything just to fly up there and watch it get blown up again..." Finally, if you want to blow up the Death Star, go play Rogue Leader. Or Rogue Squadron. Or X-wing CD. Or any of the other dozens of Star Wars games out there that give you the ability to go and blow up the Death Star.

Darth died after the second death star blew up, not the first. If you remember correctly, Darth was pursuing Luke down the Death Star trench, Han shot Vader's wingmate, Black 3. The pilot in Black 2 either panicked or realised what was happening (there's some debate on which it is) and rammed Vader's tie, knocking Vader from the trench and causing his own TIE to hit the wall and explode. After Luke destroys the Death Star, we see Vader flying away. So no, he's not dead. Dantooine was never supposed to be blown up. Although Leia said the Rebel base was on Dant, Tarkin didn't believe her and blew up Alderaan instead and sent scouts to Dantooine to investigate. After discovering the base there was abandoned, he had no reason to take the Death Star all the way out there, so Dant made out just fine.

EXACTLY!!!! I personaly think that Black 2 panicked, just look atthe way he swerves into Vader. This is being picky but I like my Star Wars, Vader was out of control spirling away not "flying". Sorry had to clear that up.

Yes, but you see him recover from the spiral and fly away. That's the part I'm referring to. I, too, believe it was a panicked move, but the fact that he shouts "Look out!" before he does it lends the other story some credence. I'm trying to remember the pilot's call-signs. I think it was DS-61-3 and DS-61-2... can anyone confirm that?

O ok I didn't notice the recovery. I guess its time to go back to watching the movies all day LOL. I'll check the StarWars.com forums tosee if I can find there calls signs, otherwise I know it is something along those lines.

Argument that it would go against the timeline has NO backing. Jedi go against the timeline, but yet, I see at least 10 of them every day.
Argument that it would be another thing to screw over us imps is the way to go.
