Well....what can I say...

JTL isn't for the non-coordinated. *shrug*

I like it that my reflexes skill level is somewhat represented, without requiring me to spend ours camping a bugged spawn somewhere to get nifty abilities that don't require anything besides a fast mouse clicker finger. And, I'm also impressed by what got fixed in that couple days after beta went down but before live launch.

No matter how you spell it, his point still stands. It was Jump to Lightspeed, not extra fluff for the sims fans.

I agree, JTLS has no I win button, which turns a lot of people off. You cant just press attack and go get a soda cause your macro has you spam eyeshot 3 8 times in a row. You have to be somewhat skilled and think like a pilot at times. I have zero trouble now taking on a B-wing and four xwings at once in my little novice pilot TIE, I can dispose of the teir 1 ships in about 30 seconds and the B wings I can out manuver and focus on the engines to take them down and make them a turtle on its back. then I stop my ship, gloat a bit, and blow them to peices. I feel more control in JTLS of my charecters fighting ability and fate at novice pilot then I ever did at master commando.

I'm fussing like mad in several thread about the lack of cash payout in space, but the actual combat I love. It really reminds me of the old X-wing series.

You have to fight smart. You have to work the throttle. JTL will not be for everyone. If you don't have a little pilot in you personally, if you don't "get" that kind of combat, you won't cut it out there.

That said, there are a couple of things I would like to see changed. Sometimes enemies come out of hyperspace already shooting at me. It would be nice to be able to evade them some. Also, it would be nice if there was a "target the guy on my six" key or something....target nearest is now always the guy pounding your backside, but then again maybe that's not that realistic either.

But aside from suffering from the same economic hamstringing as the rest of the SWG universe, I give JTL a thumbs up.

I like it honestly, except that the payouts are horrible but oh well, other then that I'm enjoying flying a TIE Fighter...can't wait for my interceptor.

Agreed with the original poster. This isn't so much an expansion as an addition. Very little was added to the ground game. If you're not twitch-oriented, you wasted $30 which sucks I love it, but it's not all about me

Personally i like it, probably because im good with it...or i have lots of experience with star wars flight games...(rouge squadron, xwing, star wars battlefront)

But besides that, its tricky at first but you can get it..

I Personally would be glad if the Space combat can be more like the original ground combat (not rpgstyle, but more action, or an action hybrid rpg or fable)

anyone agree?

You are. Where I live, it's OFFENCE. As surprising as you may find it.. but I guess the whole world revolves around you, huh?

The main reason I think your post was silly was because JTL was always going to be: 2 new species, 4 new professions, and space combat. No more, no less. It's exactly what it gives; most people I've spoken to have enjoyed it, either in beta or in the first few days in Live. If you're getting a beep noise when you attack a ship, it's because that ship is someone else's mission, and you can't damage it. The targeting system works pretty well, just follow the blue arrow to the target. Again I haven't heard any complaints about it so far.

Chassis and stuff are going to be expensive at the moment, because there aren't many shipwrights and they want to make as much money as they can in the early days. Give it a week or two andprices will settle down.

When you say that "you wish more stuff had been thrown in" it just makes it look like you've tried it for two minutes then given up on it. There is much to this expansion than reveals itself in the first few hours of play. When you are a master pilot or go up for the first time on a multiplayership you will love it. Persist.. practice makes perfect.. (yes practice I know how to spell it)

Here's my opinion of the game...

I really like the way the system works.. adding a twitch/fps aspect to an RPG is awsome in my opinion and not many game companies have gotten away with doing it.

Me personally i dont think theres a single problem with the targeting .. its straight forward to me.. follow the blue arrow... shoot the bad guy. I also like the way its not SUPER easy for everyone to get master... i hate seeing 500k people mastering 1 good profession on swg being because it so frickin easy to do.

Heres what i HATE... the expansion is DRY, theres virtually no content whatsoever ... wheres our space themeparks... space stations to explore, planets only available to people that can manually fly themselves to it... WHERES the space gangs, smugglers.... give me some frickin content!!!

and why cant soe learn to make loots worth f'in while!! why am i a master profession looting crappy stone knifes! from things only a master can KILL... which not to get off jtls.. but why the hell am i looting mark1 crappy loots from tier3 ships??

In short.. i feal the expansion is a dry grind to a final stage of nothing to do.. im hopeing pvp is awsome in space and i look forward to trying it out.. and i really hope they add content for the people like me.. who want there grind to pay off ..to haveing fun doing content related mission.

Oh yea!! and give me a space krayt dragon to take out , so we can get some uber ship loots

well excuse me for having a opinion!!!

I like that the battle is realistic but i feel that some parts of the space fightin could b better, targets outlined with a darkred line, as if they didnt already fly arond me like drunken bees...

and i still want to know about the target tracking, i know how to lock onem but not the other (and yes ive done the tutorial)

NGE = makes swg more dumber, simpler and removes
the depth and feel which made swg so wonderful, i do
defenetly not support it! nooooooooo wayyyyyyyyyy!!!!!
