I must say im quite disapointed about JTL, 2 new races, 4 new professions (which all have to do with the new space stuff) I hoped that this would become something incredible cool and fun, instead its a frustrating nightmare, it would b more fun to clean up after Jabba when he has done his mornin toilet (after that he has eaten a big breakfast of rotten wompy eggs) for 10 years "sigh" im gonna be a lil more detailed.

Space combats are frustrating, i rotate here n there n try to find the little pests shooting me, even tho i have a blue lil arrow which point toward the target its still SO HARD "zap blatt! Kzap "turn turn turn turn wth....turn turn turn KZAP BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP where the h...oh there he is ....not agh!!!" FIRST the marking around the ships are DARK RED how smart is that in a DARK SPACE??? Secondly there should be a smarter system of finding the target (for example a lin from ur aiming thingie to the target (as in the space map in ut 2004) its just so annoying, and i aint the only one thinking like this, there is l o a d s more.

Secondly ships n stuff is mostly for those who have loads of cash and can afford it, i mean helloooo? chassi for 350k and up??? and repairs costing loads and parts costing more loads of credits grrr i dont like that at all.

I really wish more stuff would have been thrown into this expansion, there isnt really a whole lot, ok 2 new races, quite funny looking and intresting, but what i really had wanted to see (too) is more planets, more kinds of houses, decorations, furnitures, ground vehiacles etc

at the moment it feels like ive payed 30 bucks for two new races, thats basicly all since im not especially intrested in the whole space stuff since it make me want to bash stuff to pieces around the puter.....

i dont think ya will hear "excellent" "wow" "yeehaw" "yowza yowza" when the reviews starts, i rather think the sound will be something sounding like someone starting a big chainsaw to start "saw" the game....

I know u can do better lucasarts n Soe!!!

just my .02 credits

i love it. i went up in my Z-95, hunted a few hours, became a 1-1-0-1 pilot, then went and got a Y-wing (which only costed 50K) From there, I only had to buy an engine cause I looted all the other components I needed for the ship. I was an avid fan of the X-wing vs Tie series, and I feel like this is a few steps up from those. I'm very happy with the game, and can't wait to hit Master Pilot!

Reviews have started. And they are a resounding "excellent" "wow" "yeehaw" "yowza yowza" by the vast majority.

You, sir, are the minority.

One of the things I found enormously helpful in Beta was discovering the "Track Target" function.

Ive uninstalled now and (being a Euro) havent got my sales copy yet so my memories are a little vague, but I think it was the Num Lock key.

After targetting the next enemy target I would use the Track Target function to "swivel my head around" to look in the direction in which the target was.

Piloting the ship around to bring the guns to bear was a little tricky at first, but after a couple of tries I found it to very intuitive.

It felt very much like looking into the parking space from inside your car, when you are reverse parking..... if that helps at all.

Once I got the hang of that... I found the game a lot more enjoyable.

Hope it helps.

"I must say im quite disapointed about JTL, 2 new races, 4 new professions (which all have to do with the new space stuff)"
-This is JtL man, not the original game.

"repairs costing loads and parts costing more loads of credits"
-I get destroyed in space, every part ravished...full repairs are around 5k.

"there isnt really a whole lot, ok 2 new races, quite funny looking and intresting, but what i really had wanted to see (too) is more planets, more kinds of houses, decorations, furnitures, ground vehiacles"
-I agree new planets would be nice, BUT. 2 new races and 20 or so ships isnt a whole lot? what exactly are you looking for dude. You speak about houses, decorations, furniture and GROUND vehicles. Once again as i stated above. This is JtL, not the origional game.

"i dont think ya will hear "excellent" "wow" "yeehaw" "yowza yowza" when the reviews starts"
-Dude wake up and read the forums, you will find that the majority of these people like JtL. I admit i had doubts and did quit for 1 month, but i bought JtL on release date, and have started playing, and i love it. I think many of us were fooled. You dont look fooled though, you look.......lost, or bored.

In beta, the results of the polls they constantly ran ended up being about 75% happy with it, 25% not liking it. Now, of course this was beta. So real live numbers with all the population taken into effect, I might expect that to drop as low as 60% liking it, 40% dislike. But probably 75% happy 25% dissapointed is right on target.

Considering the number of people playing this game, the problems with pleasing everyone inherent in a MMO, and the fact that combat in space is totally different than on the ground, those numbers are pretty much right.

So yeah, you are certainly entitled to your opinion and not being happy with space. And, I know there are others who will be too. Doesn't mean you are wrong at all. But a whole heck of a lot of people(myself included) enjoy it a lot too. Just a matter of what your thing is. Now that they've started up the combat revamp for the ground, all the people who dig that style of fighting are getting their turn next. Then all the non-combat profs, then the GCW. If they put the same amount of polish into those revamps as they put into JTL, then by the time they are done everyone should hopefully be walking away happy.

No new planets, that's the only think I hate about JtL. as for your piloting skills, you must have spent too much time playing mmo's ( click n' watch ) or maybe your a grandpa? ( rusty reflexes ) haha I dunno, after a hour or so I got pretty ok with aim. How long did you practice?

I think what the little bud is trying to say is if they had added little blinking icons showing you the direction and angle from which you werebeing shot at he would be a happy little guy.

I'm almost 4-3-3-3 Alliance Pilot (all of it solo) so I guess that tells you how I feel about it I've always loved space sims and I've played (and beat) every Star Wars space sim since the original X-wing on big-ass 5.25" floppy discs. Every time I got to the end I always felt like I wish there was more, now with JTL there's is! I couldn't be happier with JTL. A peristant, open ended world to fly around in and fully upgradeable ships that I can hunt for new and better parts for. Open PvP zones with the GCW in space (I've never like the ground PvP in SWG, but I can't wait to try the space PvP). Then there's the ever elusive hunt for the Firespray. I'm thinking about doing Shipwright just so I can RE my own parts and hopefully make my own Firespray one day, andI HATE crafting

I'm not suprised everyone doesn't love JTL, the same way not everyone loves PvP or crafting. It also means those of us that work up to Ace will maybe get a little bit of respect since people know what it takes to get there. I love that there's no PLingand no afk macroing or even buffing in JTL. You know when you do well it's cause you're good and you've worked for it. There's really no way to fake it through here, if you make it to Ace it's because you know what you're doing and that's all there is to it.

Snipped and whatnot..but....

Therein lies the point....JTL is NOT for everyone. It wasn't advertised as such. From the beginning this expansion was advertised as the fps/twitch aspect of a MMORPG....

Honestly, not everyone was meant to be a pilot....and not everyone will be an ace....(The ace missions are quite tough).....this game isn't designed to appease everyone...if that were the case, it would honestly suck. Too many things in this expansion as is.....too many little "extras"...special skills that only certain affiliations can use and the like.

Personally, I love it, its a nice break from point, click, watch....and so far, I've not seen an "i win" button.....unlike the ground game, where there are SEVERAL of those.

Each person is entitled to their opinion though, and I'm sorry ours have to differ......but thats the way things are. We're all individuals based on our opinions....and other inherint differences (mostly biological).

Good luck, and here's hoping you figure it out, and end up loving it like alot of us already do.
