However, to go do those mobs you speak of that are the new grenade xp lol well to take on a gun boat alone is foolish and would require a large group.

Acutally gunboats are easy. On a good trip to deepspace, i can take out about 6 or 7 gunboat formations by myself. Thats 3 GB's per formation, or 12 gunboats. It takes about i dunno, 30 seconds or so to vape a gunboat if you have your ship up to par.

Vettes are not that much more difficult. Infact, alot of vettes in DS are often unescorted and are fairly easy. Awesome XP, but crappy FP. Even still, vette in kessle, it takes about 8 mins to solo the whole formation if you know what your doing.

That way it would require large amounts of time in space to get anything. And since most people can not solo a tier 5 gunboat it requires groups, and that will place more motivation to get people back into JTL. See what I am thinking benefits two things, 1. people get to work on the reflex aspect of sensative. 2. It puts more people in space and therefore the game will have more drive to make people work together and do things in space as groups and guilds.

Yep, all that's been brought up before (hit the search function and query "force conversion pilot" and see the reams of virtualpaper we've generated on the subject).

Doesn't change the fact that the dev team have said that the ground/jedi game will be kept separate from JTL.

You're not going to convince anyone either way; it's a pretty polarising subject (as you've found out already). Best advice I can give is to shoot Tomo a PM and see what he says. He might be secretly trying to get this working behind our backs At the very least he can tell you what's going on with FS conversion and Pilot XP, in a semi-official capacity.

Shipwright XP doesn't even convert yet. No way in hell will you be allowed to convert Pilot XP first.

As long as you can get pilot xp from just riding around in the back of someone elses multi player ship I can't see this happen. I can just see guilds filling up their Yt-s with jedi hopefuls and flying around for hours at a time just racking up xp AFK. Nope.

I dont nessarily agree that the prestige should be used for jedi xp, but it needs to have some value...

Space exp tranferring to FS exp would be a huge advantage to me, but I am adamantly against it. I have seventeen million prestige points. Let me repat that. 17 million. 17,000,000. Can you comprehend how massivly unbalanced it would be if I could tranfer that into force sensitive exp? And I don't even grind and I have that much. There are other out there that have way more than me. If I could use that to become a jedi (which, btw, I have no urge to do) it would be insanely borked.

Besides, the set of skills I use to gain space exp is completely separate from ground based skills, my experience in space should not count towards my experience on the ground. Flying a dunelizard is in NO way like driving a swoop, so even for vehicle control it should not transfer. So no, lets let this dead horse rest.

My thought on this has always been to go ahead and let it all convert. Just make the conversion rate so bad that people will still look at the ground game as being the better way to do it fast.If the conversion rate was an order of magnitude or two higher than with ground xp, the path of least resistance would still be to stay on the ground get in groups and make it happen. Make the conversion rate 5000:1 or even 50000:1 for fs xp and only the die hard pilots that are flying anyways will have use for it.

I certainly don't ever expect them to change it. But I think that would be the way to do it, if they were going to.

Sure, let jedi get xp from space... just as long as they get set PvP to all factions as soon as they pull their trigger, and lasting until they land... and have xp loss by death in space be in effect.

Why is there this urge to 'get more people in space' by any means possible?

I mean, yah, I'd like more people up there, but if they're not INTERACTING with anyone else, as 99.99% of all FS XP grinders do, then what's the point other than to add lag, and make it harder to XP for the people who enjoy JTL itself?

Space may not have a LOT going on there, but at least the people up there (generally at least) enjoy it and are a cut apart from their compatriots on the ground.

I'd take that over warm bodies any day.

If a poisonous snake is dropped on top of you from a gyrocopter, don’t freak out and shoot your own driver with your arrow gun, making the vehicle lose control and blow up. Its probably just as scared as you are.

This response comes up so often when there is talk of conversion to Force Sensitive XP. Granted, the title is "Jedi XP"...but I think the poster was asking for FS XP. This response also makes no sense in context with the game, so I don't know whether it is ignorance or malice.

There is no risk in being Force-sensitive or grinding Force Sensitive XP, since you're converting other types of XP into FS XP, which *cannot* be done for Jedi XP.
