A master ship should handle like a MASTER ship. The B wing is for aces and should be on that level. It requires mastery yes, but the damn thing should be more manuverable than a big fat nova.

I'll stick with my A-wing over X or B wing any day of the week.

In my A-wing I fit about as much firepower with an experimental quickshot blaster as i could fit in my X-wing with 3 advanced or so weapons. With the added speed, manuverability, and low hit profile of the A wing i can drop my sheilds down to a mark 3 and my armor down to mark 2 and still be able to take out 6+ tier 5 imperial ships(mix of oppressors, interceptors, bombers, and an aggressor or 2) without taking an armor hit.

Well, B-Wings aren't the best ships with whichto PvP or dogfight, but they have their uses. With the proper mix of weapons, you can really do a number on the Tier 4 gunships that hang out in Deep Space. Those gunships also drop some really nice loot. So, for loot harvesting, it's pretty good. I really do prefer the Firespray to the B-Wing, though.

No a B-wing is a star fighter it was designed by admiral ackbar as a star fighter not a bomber shiesh do you guys no nothing its hard to handle as in the descriptiononly a few pilots where able to handle it and its cool cmon 4 weapons ports that beats the multiperson ships cmon 2 turrets seriously a YT-1300 should have at least 4 guns 2 hidden 2 turrets cause whats the point getting a multiperson ship if you can't defend yourself without a crew they sshoul revamp multiperson ships as the mass is fine 5000000 is more than enough so why not add more weapons....... anyway back tosubject b-wing is a fighter not a bomber end of story

True enough, but SWG isn't anywhere near canon. So why expect B-Wings to be?

When an Overt Rebel Jedi Knight can be using a lightsaber in the middle of Coronet Starport without any consequences, all of our arguments about fitting in to the Star Wars canon flies right out the window.

so.. how does it compare to the firespray. i haven't bought a FS yet. is the FS more manuverable?

I don't own one, but i'm told my my pilot friends who have one that the firespray flies like an Xwing.

Bwing - 240k mass, 4 weapon slots, 2 launcher slots, good speed, bad maneuverability

Firespray - 210k mass, 2 weapon slots, 1 launcher slots, very good speed, good maneuverability

Sort of hard to debate that argument right there.

My B-Wing has two Experimental and two Advanced blasters with matched firing speed, with dual Mark IV Concussion missle launchers. It is not for dancing with nimble snub fighters, but it's meant to get in behind a gunboat and turn it into scrap, while the fighters engage the other ships. Very mission-specific.

Considering how difficult the Firespray is to get, it's not terribly impressive. Using my RE'd reward 92.2 engine and Engine Overload 3, it had maneuverability stats of 2,2, and 1. To give you a reference, a B-Wing is about 1,1,0.5 and an A-Wing is 4, 4, ~3.

I have done mock duels against Firesprays and in a turning fight, an X-Wing will destroy it. An A-Wing will fly circles around it. Plus, I find myself rotating far more often using the Firespray because its guns are off axis.

however i do believe it should have better handling than a Ywing.. which it doesn't.

There are ways to make a B wing handle real well, very close to an X wing but it wont happen the same day you make Ace. It will take you a lot of trial and error learning what works best to get it to its full potential. A B wing that is built right in the hands of a real Ace pilot is a formidable ship. Find yourself a real good SW and experiment with your components. Good luck.
