Well I could be crazy, but I think 1 ship per person is a great idea... it adds more of a unique 'skill' factor... if you needed a few tie bombers for a strike, instead of you and yourbuddies just tossing one out of their datapads, you would have to find a tie bomber pilot.

Me for example, i'm going to be a TIE Aggressor pilot, and if thats the only ship I can own then i'll master it in combat, butsometimes i'll want to finda greatYT-1300 pilot to gun for, someone who would only fly it and would of masted it as well.

Think it would be cool to see "yeah our guild has 11 interceptors, 5 bombers, a few aggressors and 4 YT-1300 pilots" or someone standing outside Theed spaceport yelling "Looking for3 aggressor pilots and a bomber or two for a raiding party, PST"... whats the pointif everyone can just own each of these ships?

It would'nt supprise me if they kept it at 1 per person, keeps with the star wars magic... with Han, theFalcon was his only baby and he would'nt trade it for a fighter any day... Luke was well know for his mastery over x-wings, you never saw him hop into an a-wing or a y-wing... well he did get in that snow speeder once, but thats not a fighter and he got his $#% kicked in it anyways.

Have any dev posts saying that or just more theories from players that arn't even in the beta?
Yeah, that's what I thought. I stick with common sense, thanks.

none of the beta players can disclose that information. one it is NDA material and if it is released it has to come from a red name dev. and two even if a beta player talked about it those sorts of things are subject to change ona daily, or even faster, basis so any info you might get from a beta testerwill only be true for 24 hours at most...

"When Sony and Lucas set out, we said, 'How can we do this and not make another EQ?' We didn't want it to be all about Luke, or combat, or lock our players into a class. So we created a system that would allow players to switch professions during the game, and there would be a lot of gameplay around making that change. If you want to go from architect to scout we've created a system to make that happen." - Julio Torres
