Yup, it's true. But it's been said the limit may go up in BETA. I think the one ship limit is for testing purposes.

I really hope it goes up... I cant see only having one ship.
with speeders it was one thing to only have 1... but star ships are different cuz each one plays different roles based on their config.... not everyone wants to fly around in their neutral, poorly armed hulk and get left out of fighter based confilicts... and conversly people wont want to be stuck with just their single seaters.
at release there better be at least 2 ship max.

Idiots.
Think it thru, everyone is getting a Lady Luck and new pilots are getting a starter ship. Do the math.

Someone's a little cranky.
It's been said the Veteran ship may not count to the ship limit. For that matter, the starter ship may not either. So it's hard to say.

1 + 1.... take the second factorial.... carry the v.... subtract the remainder from the starting... multiply......add a random integer for some reason.....
is the answer "cake"?

Have any dev posts saying that or just more theories from players that arn't even in the beta?
Yeah, that's what I thought. I stick with common sense, thanks.

I really hope not. Personally I'd like to have any ship I'm qualified to own. Simple fact is that I want to be able to adapt to the moment. Sometimes you just don't need a battleship ya know? Sometimes you need small and fast, other times you need pure power, and sometimes.....you need as much sheilding as you can slap on your hide. Customization will account for some "adaptability", but for true flexibility more than one ship will be needed. Otherwise you end up with shipwrights swamped with orders to refit ships constantly to adapt them to the mission at hand.

You would think even in beta they would allow more ships per datapad so you could test a variety of ships and possible bugs with different types.
This whole 1 ship thing seems incredibly insane to me.

People are looking way too much into this. Durring gencon and other conventions the limit was said to be one ship, but that it was likely to change. The demo versions of the games shown off at events like this arent the same ones taken from the dev's comps the day before the show, so dont think just because it was like that in the convention doesnt mean it will be like that at release, or in beta, or even in the current dev build.
