Thread: Firesprayyy...doesnt it send shivers down your spine? :) lol
I only saw minor improvments/differiation over the T/O and krayt in handling:
- seems like it has a *slightly* faster cornering speed. (just by feel, can't prove it)
- Accel/decel seems a tinsy bit faster. (again, feel, can't prove it)
- Slides around a little less.
Other than that, i really don't have anything good to say.
Chassis YPR accleration rates are same is T/O and krayt, the only variation seems to be in speeds, and these variations are MINOR.
I don't see how this ship is worth the 7-10 million pricetag.

Two reasons (possibly 3 ):
1.) Its slighly harder to get EO4 running on a T/A because of the higher power drain from 2nd gun. and easier the in T/I
2.) The bolt spread in a T/I is advantagous. Any one of them hit you do full damage. A T/A's gun placement demands a high degree of accuracy that is hard to acheive in a fast turning fight when your opponent is little more than a blur. Where as the gunplacment on the T/I doesnt demand as high a degree of accuracy.
3.) Can't prove it but it seems like the T/I is slighly harder to hit than a T/A.

Well 3 is flat out wrong, the Advanced is smaller than the Interceptor.
As for 1, you dont have to put another gun in, you could just put a better engine or shield in there.

1 question.
Why do you use the interceptor?
The Advanced has exactly the same stats just with 1 extra gun and 15k more mass.
The honest reason why I fly an Intercepter over the Advanced... I just like the look of it! It's just so damn Imperial. It feels like Star Wars to me. Always been my favorite ship since as far back as the TIE Fighter game on Win95.
I've done a nice loadout on an advanced, but I'm more proud oif flying an Intercepter with countermeasures, armour, and even a launcher while still being able to mount a 2740 max dam blaster.

2740? hahaha my x-wing has 2 guns that both hit 3500+ on it
when i outfit my a-wing it gets my best gun, my 3900 max. of course it takes up almost half the mass.... so i dont wear armor. in pvp its all but useless anyways when one or two shots kill you.
but then again, your interceptor is way harder to hit than my x-wing....
sorry rag (still cant get the rest of your name right...) i didnt mean to harp your name up like that... i even hit the damned back button to try and remember it. but i failed apparently lol.
as for the accuracy thing... well i prefer the straight nose accuracy over the spread accuracy. give me a nice and easy lineup.
and as for the #3 being wrong (whoever said that)... well i disagree with you
the T/A may be smaller... but all of its mass is clumped together in one ball. thats easy to hit. the T/I is thin and long, and it requires a more precise shot to hit it. i find that i can massacre the T/A in kessel but it takes me ages to take out a T/I simply because they are harder to hit (and i have a PCI grafix card... /sigh... /pointself... /declare noob...)
Actually the impressive thing is that with a maximum of 50k mass, ican generate 10k from my reactor, 14.7 on my Droid Interface, mount countermeasures, missles, in addition to armour front and back, 81.1 70YPR engine...
True XWing can pack a bigger punch, but XWing has 3 gun slots, Intercepter has 1. XWing has what.. 100k mass? Intercepter is 50k. AWings are jard to get under the reticle too, so I think they're pretty much the same size target as an intercepter. But realize most of our ships have half the mass as yours.
To get a 50k fighter able to perform in a survivabl;e fashion in Deep Space is no small undertaking for certain.
