Same boat as me (at that time). I went to Coronet and spammed. I sent /tell 's to any pilots that I saw until we had about pilots and then we headed up and did it. By the end I had 7 new friends, some of which I still fly with today.

I solo'd CorSec with my DL up to 3-4-3-3, then hit a roadblock. But I'm glad I did, 'cause as the other said, it's a lot more fun flying in groups than solo. It's the feeling of your buddy covering you when things get hairy.
