one thing ive always wanted is forward facing turrets..until i flew a nova,at 2/3rds speed it handles better than my x-wing,the only problem is when handling it like teh my gunners cant hit jack sh*t

Just gotta talk to your gunner... Target in front.. Rolling to get him in the top rear arc....Mind you this is much esier with two terms in the same room.... But we were quardinating fire very well on my Y-wing. Oh and maybe the 180 day reward could be a sorro-sub that could be upgraded with guns? although it is kinda nice to be able to party in peace on board wile people put on a light show out side the windows strafing you.

No it is not. It is 500000 and not 5Million! I am willing to bet on that. I will make a screenshot tonight and post it here if required. The YT-1300 take 500000 mass and not 5000000.
and even this 500000 i never managed to fill. And my YT is fully Equiped. And even with full equipment it does not exceed 300k mass of Equipment.

We could go back and forth on this forever.. I willpost a screeny later and proof to you that a YT-1300 only has 500000 mass. There´s not a single piece of equipment out there that would require 5million mass!
I never had either deci nor nova so can´t tell for those.. who knows? Maybethey really HAVE 5million. My YT-1300 however does not 
(and it´s not a cheaptrash YT. Used rather good resources to have it build by a capped Shipwright).

Your basing your assumption of the YT on your decimator my nova is 5 million but i dont think the YT is that much.

Hmmm, I just recalled something... there was a mass revamp wasn´t there? Mainly for neutrals if im not mistaking... dunno if they also edited the YT but mine was build before that revamp... maybe that´s also partly the reason. Ill check it out nevertheless... Gotta know this now once and fer all

The YT should have the same mass as the VT and Nova. I remember sombody posted here saying wow my YT has 499XXXX mass a few weeks ago.

All the POB ships have 5 million mass, including the YT (got one myself). It's always been like this on live.
However, in beta they at first had 500k mass. I suppose the devs realised that they could somewhat help the POB ships effectivenessby upping the mass so much that you could at leastcould fit all the best stuff on them.

Having additional slots for components would be difficult to impliment
However, adding Mark VI gear with 500k mass but having twice the potential of Mark V gear would accomplish the same goal with less coding.
My wish list for the MPS would be as follows:
- Fix existing bugs (Plasma problems still out there?)
- Turret maneuver compensation to take the out of gunning and let the pilot have a more active role
- Give the copilot the option to handle missiles with his own target reticile
- Add Mark VI gear
The MPS should be the "Mini Capital Ship" and a fully crewed MPS should be comperable to multiple solo ships in power.

The MP ships definitly need to have unique components. It's messed up when I can put the same laser cannon on my X-Wing that I can put on a Nova. Not to mention my X-Wing has 3 weapons slots and the MP ships only have two. They need special armor, shields, turbolasers, etc. I mean the MP ships are big, lumbering targets that can't handle a large amount of ships, they need to have some advantages.
