Thread: Multiplayer Ship A couple of features that would be nice

It would be nice if I could somehow know which targets my gunners had selected. Perhaps one color for the top gun and a different color for thebottom could bracket the ships in the HUD. It would help coordinate our flying.
Also, it would be nice to be able to enter your ship without needing to launch in space. If there could be some way to do it on the ground... It is a pain to launch just to empty your loot box, and then need to fly 5k just to get to a space station to land again.

I would like to see an auto-pilot feature that allows me to leave the pilot seat while flying solo....auto pilot isn't much of an auto-pilot if I have to stay in the seat. They could even add a feature that disables auto-pilot when guns are fired if they don't want to us to single play the multi player ships.
This feature would just be a great convenience for one ofthe reasons you mentioned above. If I have to launch into space to pickup or drop something into my ship, I would at least like to use the travel time back to the star base to do it.
Just a though.

Yeah its hard to find a way to fly the multiplayer ships without giving your gunners motion sickness is hard. The way I see it, it works best as a mobile gun platform. Nothing too fancy movement wise. A fighter escort also makes it much more dangerous. Multiplayer ships however are underarmored. A host of fighters would make mincemeat of them. Maybe giving more armor slots to the multiships is the answer.

No that's hardly the answer unless they (devs)can make the chagnes retroactive. Introducing MP ship only components, like a 20Khitpoint armor with800K mass, is a better solution.

That´s no solution. How would you be supposing to fit a Armor wirh 800k of weight into a Ship (in this example the yt-1300) that can only hold 500k mass? O_o
But I agree. We need some more features on the Multiperson Ships. i.e. Player docking. Would it not be nice to be able to "dock" one Multi Person ship with annother to swap crewmembers? 
Or to dock with a single person ship and thjerefor switch into a Multi (should in the proximity of a station so that the ship you leave gets towerd into dock).
Also: operations chair. why can´t a IMP or REB use a Neutral OP Chair? Neutrals can do it in IMP or REB ships without probs. Thats also something they should change

aw almost forgot... Landing on Planets. IMHO it should be possible to land on Planets with the ship itself, without the need to use a space station. Hence if i.e. a YT is landing on it´s own on a planet it stay´s close to the city/Starport where you Landed and can be walked into like a house or tent. (imagine a MOBILEStarship store inside a Ship on teh ground or stuff like that

PS: Forgot one Idea
Player Repair Ships: Should need tier4 or even master lvl to operate and would be capable of repairing Damage (excluding chassis damage) to other ships. Hence we would need also "Repair ship - Starship repair tools".This shipshould only have minimal armaments (no ordenance/only one weapon equipable)but lot´s of mass (for large shields/armor). This would make a lot of sense for things like the Corvette run. Enabling players to get they´re ships repaired, not having to fly for 10/20 minutes till they get some decent repairs.

Personally as far as I am aware all of the bugs on the MPS which were inherent in Beta are in live. THAT it what they should be working on.

Good point. Why not? This is a feature in KOTOR. It should not distract too much from the game. Even if we are stuck with starport landings.

You need to take a look at the mass again, it's 5 Million.

The only 2 solutions i see to making Multiplayer ships more effective are both mentioned here, either let armor and sheilds be stackable, like have 3 armor in fron and 3 in back, and have 3 sheilds front and back. Or give shipwrights the ability to craft Mark VI components when they reach master, 800K mass per component is to much even for a 5 mil mass ship, maybe something along the lines of 400-500K mass per component.

I still think each MP ship should have 2 capacitors and at least one forward facingweapon(just something for protection) for the pilot in case he is goin out solo and runs into a PVE nest.

I guess I don't see what the point for 2 capacitors would be? I have two 4200 damage cannons, and I still can't drain the cap.
