It would really help if those who post needing mission help would take the time to make a sig, go to profile and list their server or somewhere in their blob of text indicated which server and perhaps even their ingame name on that server...
Some days and weeks are better than others, but I am not guilded and mastered on one server and will again eventually on two other servers. All it really takes to get the ball rolling is finding a good wingman or two that are online when you are. Those people will most certainly have a network of their own friends. That's all you need.
Using the overload programs at your level significantly increases your combat effectiveness. I now consider the following programs a must on all of my ships:
Reactor Overload
Engine Overload
Weapon Overload
Capacitor Overload
Capacitor to Shield Stunt
Mute Droid
I use lvl 3 of all of these, but may try shield stunt 4 soon for giggles.
Using a shield stunt macro during combat also GREATLY enhances your survivability. Depending on your droid interface timer, it goes something like this:
/ui action toolbarSlot##; (this is the slot where you have put the shield stunt hotkey from you abilities menu)
/pause 15; (again, depends on your interface speed)
/ui action toolbarSlot##; (this is the slot that calls this macro)
If you don't use mute droid, this can make your game a bit choppy with all the droid messages. Even with mute, you still get text spam from the droid interface, but at least no dialogue box pops up each time.
Hang in there! There are a LOT of masters out there looking for something to do and in my experience, I get the best loot when helping others with tough missions.

Imperial ships are not meant to Solo anything, hence bomber strike. There weakass little ships that need groups of 10 to be effective against a tier 4 nova. Just get a bunch of friends to go with yeah, or join the rebels and pick up a nice X wing and solo the Star Destroyer

I did that mission as a guild, and I rather enjoyed it, of course I completed it the first time through. We had maybe 4 or 5 of us (I was still the most advanced pilot, Me in an interceptor and them in TIE/In and regulare TIEs).
It was a blast, but i was glad to have it behind me. Those mobs do get tough at times.

WOW. Finally was able to do this mission. only 2 weeks from original post. lol. Solo too.
didnt want to do it solo, but it's real hard to find help at the right times. My main factor in beating it was finding a vnedor this morning with some way better armor and shields for my ship. cant wait to see the impossibilities that await me on later missions. woo hoo! Thanks for all the help and tips on this mission everyone!

You have harder missions ahead. You are flying in a coffin with wings. To get through these missions, you must think and learn. Wait until 3.4 and 4.4. If this is gay to you, then those will be drag queen festivals.
LOL... Isn't THAT the truth!!! I went to Storm Squad 3.3 and finally gave up on that one. Ended up dropping SS and joined the Inquisition. ATM I'm on 3.4 (Which I don't think I can solo, but I think I could do it with a tier 3 wingman *shrug*). MOST of them can be soloed easily. People just have to remember that in space, more depends on YOUR skills then the ships!! Yes, it's true that the ship adds to that, but its a tool, not an end. The most powerful proton cannons in the universe are worthless if you pull the trigger at the wrong time.

So true!!!
Tactics matter. They matter more than anything. The right tactics turn a tough battle into an easy victory.
On the other hand, friends matter. I helped a new friend on the II 3.4 mission yesterday. I was in an opressor. It's amazing how easy that mission gets in an opressor!!!

Well, for the sake of bragging rights, I DID in fact manage to pass 3.4 solo, so it was possible. But, only after failing the mission 5 times did I finally understand where my tactics were wrong. A very simple correcting changed the whole battle and victory was assured. Strategy, not firepower, changed the outcome.

That 'gunboat',as I recall, is actually a Tier 4 Nova Courier with Tier 1 X-Wings as escorts (the last part of the final Tier 3 mission has you fight a Tier 3 Nova with Tier 3 X-Wings). I soloed it in an Interceptor. I concentrated fire on the Nova in strafe runs and basically ignored the escorts as much as possible. Idon't remember if I called bombstrikes or not since it was like over a month ago. But anyhow, make sure you use all the droid programs you can get, and bombstrikes too.

---------I'm going on week three of doing the fake list mission for the emporer. twice I have made it to the rebel gunboat, and died, I have no idea if there is anything beyond that. i have also used the VN boards, and the official boards to find help for this mission, but never get any responses. Thinking about giving up on this also.-----------
i had alot of trouble with this mission too, that gunboat is rough. the most common way people use to beat it is to call a bombstrike on it and then take out the escorts. once the escorts r gone ull have a better chance of taking the gunboat out. if u stay 540m away from the gunboat it wont fire it's blasters at u. the way i took it out was just bum rushing the b***h in a tie bomber while using the emergancey weapons special. i was able to take it out in just a few seconds and then took out the escorts with no problem.

I did this too.. Storm Squardon Tier 3.2 mission.. destroy the gunboat and the escorting fighters (around 8 of them.. I didn't count.. lol).. I used an Interceptor, a .22 speed 2570 max damage blaster (.48/.48), a 62 speed engine, engine overload 3, capacitor overload 3, and weapon overload 3.. one quick pass (about8-10 shots) was all it took to destroy the Nova Courier.. weapon overload 3, and a very fast and strong blaster is your friend (and a 1280 front/back shield with nearly 10 recharge).. use it! personally, I didn't bother with targetting weapons and reactors.. I just fired into the gunboat and it went boom surprisingly quick!
even if you dont have droid programming 3, get another imperial (WO3/EO3) and freelance (CO3)pilot to burn it for you on an unprogrammed chip! you -dont- need to be taught that skill to actually use it.. with this set up, you should be able to handle ANYTHING the Endor system throws at you! Try it! =)
