This mission is total horse**** if you ask me. Who the hell thought it was a good idea to make a 5 part mission that if you fail on the 5th part you have to do it ALL over again? this damn mission took about an hour to get to the end of only to see the son of a bit*h im escorting bail as my mission fails. WTH???? endless spawns of 4 x and y wings that spawn on top of eachother so im fighing 8 ships at a time. This is fricking lame. doing this hour long mission AGAIN sounds about as fun as a route canal. any tips on this lame ass mission? It starts out with inspecting a doctors ship, then fighing a ridiculous amount of fighters while you download info to a satellite, (takes about 15-20 minutes) after that you have to fight through more endless spawns to go drop off the info. THEN, no its not over, you have to go capture the doc. then escort him back. well on the way back, you guessed it, more ENDLESS spawns of bad guys. well 15 minutes into escotring him adn fighting the endless spawns the doc leaves and my mission fails. SO GAY. any help would be greatly appreciated.

some missions have endless waves that attack, ull need to disabletheir engines or reactor. this wont stop them from coming, it will just slow the waves down, but it will give ya enough time to recharge ur shields and get ur head together. if ur on bloodfin give me a /tell and ill give yaa hand...online name: birte

Tip: hyperspacing to Dark Force or some other safe zone after you've downloaded the stuff from the satellite, as this will stop the enemy ships from spawning on you endlessly, then proceed to the next waypoint. Hyperspacing within same systemcan bevery helpful in missions like the one you're on. Also, don'tstray too far away from the doc when you're escorting him, keep him in sight at all times.

This sucks for most players who do not have a guild ready to help them through it. I amm not even attempting my missions because I cannot get one person much less the several people I will need to help me complete these missions. These retarded devs seem determined to kill JTL also. When would you put in a group requirement when you know we always complained that its hard to group? It would make sense to ensure grouping is made easier and becomes commonplace BEFORE putting in a grouping requirement to be able to master your profession.

I have said many times before that I did not think the devs have one character that they play on a continual basis and this seem to prove it. I seriously doubt these guys know what its like to be standing at a starport for days begging and bribing and still not getting people to help you. Right now people are paying for this game with JTL but are not doing JTL because of the fraustrating and short sighted decisionsby the devs. The question is how before people start leaving in fraustration. What good is adding new ships when players can't fly them because they cannot master their professions?

AMEN. they did seem to make some uneducated and rather chodish decisions for jtl. Who wants to help someone else do a mission that takes an hour and isnt even that fun? ive also heard that the alliance pilot and freelance pilot are much easier to complete. does someone hate imperials? wish id known that before i got to 3222. the hyperspace idea is great. thats the only way i was able to escape those spawns. but escorting the doc. its hard to stay near him when theres 8 turds shooting at you from all angles. I really hope i beat this one next time i try it. otherwise youi might see another rebel pilot up there.....anyone know if the rest of the tier 3 missions are as tedious as this? and how about the teir 4 ones? I dread the thought...

I'm going on week three of doing the fake list mission for the emporer. twice I have made it to the rebel gunboat, and died, I have no idea if there is anything beyond that. i have also used the VN boards, and the official boards to find help for this mission, but never get any responses. Thinking about giving up on this also.

The escorting doc part is indeed a pain if you doing it solo. What I did was kill one or two fighters then target the doc and use booster to close the distance before re-engaging. If you have bstrike, call it to distract the enemy ships.

i had alot of trouble with this mission too, that gunboat is rough. the most common way people use to beat it is to call a bombstrike on it and then take out the escorts. once the escorts r gone ull have a better chance of taking the gunboat out. if u stay 540m away from the gunboat it wont fire it's blasters at u. the way i took it out was just bum rushing the b***h in a tie bomber while using the emergancey weapons special. i was able to take it out in just a few seconds and then took out the escorts with no problem.

That 'gunboat',as I recall, is actually a Tier 4 Nova Courier with Tier 1 X-Wings as escorts (the last part of the final Tier 3 mission has you fight a Tier 3 Nova with Tier 3 X-Wings). I soloed it in an Interceptor. I concentrated fire on the Nova in strafe runs and basically ignored the escorts as much as possible. Idon't remember if I called bombstrikes or not since it was like over a month ago. But anyhow, make sure you use all the droid programs you can get, and bombstrikes too.

While this kind of missions might bring people together, it discourages others. I have been doing a rebel mission for like two days strait and im sitting around grouping people we go and still cant get it finished.

Now I find out that we have to ignore the first mission and go for the second mission which is total horseChit as well because this shouldnt be the case. We should be able to play out the mission. I love a challenge but I hate torcher!

Why the brains in SOE do crap like this is beyond me. But a long history of bullcrap is evident.... just to name a few....

Deathwatch bunker, Corvett.....and now teir 4 missions.

I just soloed the fake document mission. Wow was that tough. It took me three times!
I think the key is engine speed. Get the fastest engine you can. Hopefully it will have a good YRP rate too, but speed comes first. Other than that I'd suggest a lvl 7 weapon and a monster shield. It's tough to fit everything with so little mass available, but cut everything you dont need. I had to cut front and rear armor just to make everything fit in my intercepter :-D
Be sure to keep a droid interface. Who cares about speed on it, just get the lightest one you can so you can Engine Overload 2/3 at mission start.

Hopefully you're top end boost speed will be in the 1100+ range. If it is just outrun everything but the X-wings you're required to kill. Soon as you see the shuttles /dock and pray your shield hold up :-)
My in game name is Maudee as well. If you're in need of help on Bloodfin send me a game mail.

I'm on the gunboat mission now. What a nasty surpise that was! Cruised through the first parts of the mission only to get pwned by the gunboat. Time to break out the Tie Bomber and duel Space bomb launchers...
