I'd ask the devs to fix this bug and give us one forward weapon that the pilot can control.

I must have posted this bug myself at least 3 times during beta, they just never seem to fix anything that may require some hard work, instead we get more useless loot to fill up our storage space even more.

I know this is not very fun to do but if you clear out the ship and deed it then reload it the problem goes away.
I stopped carrying any decorations or to many items in the ship to make it eaier until they fix the bug.
Still it does not help you much when you are trying to do some group stuff and you have land to unload it to deed it.

Hmmm... good question. Right now the best fix is to bend over an kiss your @&& goodbye...
Smoke has stated in the Pilots forum that the devs are aware of the problem. Weather it is getting fixed or not .. Well no answer as of yet.

Make astromechs able to fix plasma leaks. They just won't do it as fast as a player since they move slow and you should be limited to two. This would allow the game to fix these leaks without having to figure out the GUI bug for the short term.

I didn't redeed my ship to stop the alarms.
The ship got destroyed, I tried unbuffed to fix the alarms and even incapped you can repair them, so I got one or 2 fixed, then I died. I went and took care of my BF and wounds, then I got a buff, repaired the ship damage from the ship terminal using the general repair kits, Launched and fixed all the leaks. After landing again I went up in one of my fighters for a loot run and then logged for the night. Next morning I went back up and everything was fine. No alarm's, ship has been fine since.
In the YT there are 2 "safe Zones" from the Plasma leaks. One is right outside the cockpit gangway, and the other is over by the ladders. The alarms don't extend into the hallways, so you have a place to recover from the alarms in the YT at least. I don't know about the other 2 ships.
