Thread: How in the &*$% do you fix a plasma leak?????
Message Edited by Macellarius on 12-26-2004 11:22 PM
It happens constantly, you'll get damamged and have plasma leaks erupt all over. After you've put them out there will be a phantom leak that you cannont fix. The worst part, because there is a leak the alarms won't go off. The only way that I've found to fix this little problem is to log out for about 10 minutes and then log back in.
Good Luck my friend this bug has made me stop flying my YT-1300.
They didn't fix it because it's probably not an easy problem to fix, and they'd rather have the Q4 profit than a gaming populace happy that their MP ships work as they should. More than likely the root of this problem is so deeply seated that they knew fixing it would cut into their end-of-year fiscal profits because they'd have to delay the release.
The ballad of the MMO game is that developers think it's fine to release a buggy patch/expansion because they've already got a hooked population that'll keep playing regardless of fault because of the time they've invested into the game and their character.
Of course, this highlights that the REAL enemies to the success of this game are most likely the SOE execs, not to say that the Devs haven't made quite a few errors in the administration, implementation, and GROWTH of this game.
In the end, it's the bottom line that SOE cares about, and TH and Vogel don't have anything to say about that except "Yes sir, I'll get right on that, sir."

This is a pure conspiracy theorist here lol. This entire statement could have a plus side.
I use to think SOE was all about the bottomline with this game. but Im not so sure anymore since they doubled their staff for the SWG development. If not fixing this patch in order to get JtL out the door in order to make enough profit to hyer more hands was the entire plan? Then Id say it was SOE finally doing something smart. Id rather see the promise of a better more efficient staff than one bug fixed. Im gonna have to say SOE made the right choice on this one.
Then again, you could still be right. But, WE will never know....

There is a plasma leak in our ship.
We've been to everything and each piece says...this ____has no damage to repair.
So we keep getting set on fire and dying.
Anyone else ever have this happen?
How do you fix the %$## Plasma leak?

Get off your high horse.. Not an easy problem to fix??? Nothing is easy to fix for SOE. The Imperial Hat, the Corpse Run, Base Shutdowns, Pistoleers entire tree. NOTHING is ever easy to fix in this game according to SOE which basically means Forget it.. Thats why this game is END GAME and over with. Thats why we have no players still playing. Thats why most of us are leaving for other games and not coming back..
