Hmm, I haven't experienced that yet. You are using a Ion cannon though which is highly effective against shields but very ineffective against everything else, maybe that's it? Basically, if your shipcan only equip one weapon and you're not always grouping with someone else, usinga Ion cannon may not be the best choice.

Ok, honestly I don't see how you guys couldn't have known this. I started playing BETA about 2 or 3 weeks into it and got bored with it. I popped back on for the weekend b/4 you closed down and found the same bugs (missions not spawning waypoints, and the ever frustrating "invincible NPC" bug). What the original poster is experiencing is hitbox problems that everyone in Beta knew about.

The problem is some ships have hitboxes that are small and you have to either hit right in front or right in back to register a hit. I was REALLY dismayed to find it still happening when i logged on for the final weekend. You've gotta either hit them in back or in front to do any damage...even when you clearly show a direct hit,and the shield"spark up" or whatever it is they do when you hit them.

Here's a tip: If you want to be invincilbe (or dang near) grab an A-wing...the hit box is so small it's almost impossible to get an 'actual' hit.

Edit: A good workaround (isn't it great that you need one) is to get a booster. When you come at the ship perpendicular to it (which you'll do alot b/c they're trying to turn with you) just smash the booster to get in position so you can turn and come in behind 'em.

Audio Bug

In the observation (3rd floor) deck of the SuroSubb, if you place a fountain and remove it, you will still hear the fountain's sound as if it is there.

Tier 4 and 5 NPC's won't have any troubles hitting you. Especially not the ones with turrets.

Ya, a cheat to get around stupid AI...brilliant.

Ahh.... Swede... it's nice to see you outside of the Beta boards. I hope more of the Devs follow your example and start interacting more directly with the community. Keep it up.

Två tummar upp! Alltid bra att veta att nån har koll på läget där borta.

Oh... and as Vicotnik mentioned: you're sure it's not the top/bottom invulnerability bug?

The targetting reticle is way off for me.... it's like twice as far ahead of the actual location I need to fire.......... I was in Beta, so I know how it used to be.

Thanks Jarood, I plan to keep it up. I can see why some of the designers are scared to post on Live though. In Beta everything was really constructive and so far I've had a lot of constructive posts here too but some of the PM's I've got would have given a fragile person a stroke I think. Oh well, I will keep trucking.

It may be the targeting box, I'm not sure. My area of expertise for those that doesn't know me from beta, is the Rebel missions in JTL and world building, I'm not too familiar with the targeting boxes etc. I could have sworn that the A-Wing small targeting box was fixed last week of beta but I will confirm.

If you guys still have access to content from the Beta boards just pull those up. I remember stuff from the last weekend talking about this issue (one specifically dealing with the A-wing...title was "how to be invincible" or something like that).

Edit: Sigh...allof you who 1 star me (and are too coward to speak up) are just whiney babies. Iexplained what the problem was, how it wasALL THROUGH BETA, and then offered afreaking thread title from the beta boards to look into. Whatever kiddies...

The imperial blue color scheme is black in a space port text (can't read) in orbit. (bug)

True and other people having it happen with other types of weapons too makes me agree that it's probably something else. I've flown through Tier 1 and some of Tier 2 the last couple of days without it happening in my TIE ships so not sure what the difference is between me and those of you that have the problem. I'll see what I can find out.

Thank you. And to answer someone elses question, I was shooting from just about every angle imaginable. I was going for rear shots mostly, but I took whatever I could get. At one point I had a tie fighter disabled and was 100m away from them and shot them right through their front and tey took no damage. My bolts just went right through their chassis and they didn't have the damage animation with the sparks flying everywhere that they normally get when damaged.

Was this against all sorts of different ships or just against TIE Fighters? And it only happened while you were in your Y-Wing, not in your Z-95 correct?

Could you hear any sound of you hitting them?

I know that on unshielded TIE fighters when the invulnerability bug happened, you couldn't see any hits but you could hear a distinctive sound of metal being hit.

The biggest bug I am seeing so far is that the space loot drop rates are 1/100th of what they were in beta. There is no way a new character is ever going to be able to afford a ship when he only loots 14 credits from a tier 1 ship. Not whena tier 2 chassis cost 50k to get constructed.

In beta I would make between 25k and 35k leveling up to 1 1 1 1. Live I just made somewhere around 4k.

I think this is a known issue, but it needs afix soon, or new characters are going to be put off real quick.
