Well if you can make yourspeeder/swoop accelerate faster and turn sharper with FS Vehicle Control, why would it not apply to spacecraft?
Because there is an insane amount of hate towards jedis at the moment hehe, so people (myself included) want to keep them on either level terms or out of space so we can get away from the jedi nonsense once in a while.

Yeah i know what you mean, but they learns from force users hehe and give force powers hehe, its still related to jedi etc and i dont think they should be taken into account.
Start from scratch in JTL thats the best way, the game is far too unbalanced and broken to carry things over. Being able to assert some force over a swoop would be one thing, however using the force to push yourstar ship through space is another.

Well, the FS vehicle tree also allows your vehicle to rotate faster and turn sharper than it normally can.
An aircraft's ability to make smaller radius turns than an aircraft following it at the same speed gives it a distinct advantage overan opponent during air combat, and having at ability to accelerate faster out of the turn (be it with a more powerful engine or lighter mass) gives it a greater ability to flee if it is low on ammunition..
The same rules apply with space combat, sans the ground.
And since this is a fantasy world where people can lift incredible weight with their minds we're talking about, what is preventing someone from focusing their efforts on learning how to use that same 'magic' to assist themselves in spacecombat situations?
I mean, the bonus acceleration and increased turning ability wouldn't be that spectacular. No more spectacular than the bonuses gained from the FS medical tree, but itwould give youa slight edge.
Sure there areextremely skilledpilots with no affiliation with the force, butif someone has a desire to excel at space combat, there should be nothing stopping them from investing the time in that single use force sensitive skill tree to gain that specific edge.
Plus, with the way JTL will be layed out, the only thing to complain about is battle fatigue and losing money on repairs, so aside from those two things, the player enjoyment to player frustration ratio should still be biased towards enjoyment even if this force thing is added.
2:57am.. eyes are beginning to closed by themselves...
If I was not concerned with the positive evolution of this persistent game world, I wouldn't be posting here.

(This is a tree in one of the Force Professions)
Will it also affect JtL ships?

Disregard this entire thread.
Now that I've played JTL, and was completely unimpressed by it, I've realized thatthis no longer matters to me.

Can I have your stuff if you leave?
If Jedi skills had a use in space: You're tailing a Jedi, he's in your scopes. A push of the button and he's vapors. Suddenly your joystick freezes up on you. Damn Jedi joystick tricks.
It's a twitch game. Use your head.

After reading this, I have to put my reply, even though it is about a month old and no one will ever really care anymore.
Vehicle control will not have any effect in space. It is not because some quote in one of the 200 novels about the SW saga says so, not because it would logically make sense, not because of anything in our world, that when compared, should give advantages to space flight, not because of anything that extends outside of the virtual world or the players minds.
It is because players do not want it to be unbalanced. I do not want jedi to have an advantage over me in any way. This also means they should have no disadvantage (like not losing skills at death). By applying this principle, we can eliminate the necessity for "leet PvP" skills that currently exist in the ground game.
