Thread: JTL The Straw That Broke the Guilds Back

Ya I just came back as well to Starsider hoping that JtLS, Jedi Revamp and the upcoming combat revamp will keep me hooked. So far i'm enjoying JtLS though I do want more pvp allowed to neutral members. To me neutral shouldn't mean no pvp. There should be an overt neutral ability with some pvp be it with rebs or imps as mercenaries or against other overt neutrals so you can roleplay Hutts, vs. Black Sun vs. Valerian, ect..

Sorry to hear you leaving I hear WoW is pretty good, I just don't get into the cartoonish graphics and prefer the Starwars theme.

Anyways pass the wealth so you have good karma going to WoW *winks*

Yep, just as I thought. Nerds that got beat up in high school and got their lunch money taken & Geeks that dressed up as Ben Kenobi when the Star Wars Trilogy got released on DVD and stood in line for 6 hours just to do a /first at Best Buy. Last person to post here gets my stuff.

yep, just as i thought. a whiny brat who just can't get over the fact that some people have fun in this game and all he has left is to try and prove that his e-peen is bigger than everyone else and he obviously isn't a geek, besides the fact that he knows what a forum is and how to use it and the fact he knows how to spell kenobi AND knows that the original trilogy was released on DVD.

Your member ship to rl-thug is revoked. e-thug calls you.

It's great, no wait..fantastic if you can hook up day after day with your guildmates to run your missions. But as you can see if you can comprehend what you read on this forum which seems impossible for some people here, you'll see that NOT everyone can do that. Not everyone can be accompanied to their missions day in day out. It'd be a breeze if you could but the population here is nothing like it used to be and getting smaller.

Besides many people aren't in guilds nor want to be for their own reasons. Too much adolescent bickering and backstabbing is what you'll find in many, who wants to deal with that?

And please no more of, this is a group game because it's not a group game. Nothing in the title indicates it is so get your facts straight. It's amazing to constantly hear that a multi-player on-line rpg game equals a group game, so save it.

As far as the lead thread is concerned he's not the only person here whose gotten frustrated with jtl nor will he be the last to leave because of it.

So to the lead threader all I have to say is, right on speak your mind and never mind the nay sayers, you've been here long enough, you've paid your dues.

What part of "YOU CAN NOT SOLO THE MASTER PILOT MISSION, YOU MUST DO IT IN A GROUP" do you not understand?

Here are my points:

-- Ok, so you got owned by a bug... Ever think of trying to do it again with your friend? Of course not, grinders want everything handed to them on a plate. If you find a bug, then /bug it ingame. Thats the most effective way of getting the attention of the Devs as far as bugs are concerned.

-- If you grind away at a profession trying to reach master level as fast as possible, then you dont really have much right to complain that there is nothing to do... The fun is in working up towards the master level. If you rush it, then your missing out on all that. Ok, there does need to be stuff to do at master level, and there is... There are hundreds of things to do out there (Deathwatch bunker, RIS armor, the Geonosian cave, and all the themeparks to name but a few). People who complain about lack of content obviously arent trying very hard...

-- Despite all the ranting on these boards, I STILL can't see how JTL is a faliure. Ok, it has a few bugs but then what online game dosn't? Personally I think that its pretty damn fun, and makes a nice change from the ground game. People keep bashing JTL either because they have no patience to wait for things to get fixed, or they dident get their own way. (example: multiplayer ship turrets not useable from the cockpit)

-- If you wanna quit, then go ahead and quit. Don't come on here and cry about it. I severely doubt the Devs read threads like these, so i'm not sure what your trying to accomplish by announcing your moving on to another MMOG.

I realise that a lot of this is generalisation, but hell i'm tired of seeing posts on these forums complaining that JTL / SWG is rubbish because of a few bugs / lack of content.

Rant over.

Oh, one more thing before I forget...

If you can't do a mission, then make some friends and take them with you. Don't complain that you can't solo the higher tier missions because that isNOT how it was designed. There is no point in playing a MULTIPLAYER game if you do everything solo!

The expansions been out a month and already people are complaining whining about lack of content, their is plenty of tools for people to roleplay their characters if they choose to do that and you have deepspace to pvp or fight a capital shipif you choose to do that.

As with most MMORPG's content comes with time, the corvette and deathwatch bunker werent around when SWG first went live and i look forward to seeing what they have planned.

I think to be able to actually board a capital ship and fight through storm troopers or rebels would be cool, to be able to mine asteroids in space, and what ever they decide to but into the game at a later stage.

At the moment im 3322 with the rebel vortex squadron and having fun, ive been 3322 for a while now because im in space going to kessel practicing against higher tier shp and enjoying dogfighting, im also helping out guild members fight higher level ships so they can go up the lower tiers quicker.

Of course, not to be confused with asses like you that dress up as their favorite sport hero or Rap star and probably still play/or will play sports YEARS after being a washed up has-been.

I support removing combat classes if keeping them in results in a "dumbed down" game
- I support Devs that know how to design a game

Now I'm not agreeing with the orignal poster here, but I fail to see how this is an insult.

Sports > Star Wars....even though I am a geek. A geek that was the starting running back in HS.

BTW, even washed up has-been's usually make 500k-1mil a year playing professionally.

You know what I love about JTLS?!? The fact that you hafta group... i met so many cool people because of this... For a while, because of the uber-god mode situation all I did was hunt janta and mokks in a solo mission. I forgot how fun it was to group with people and fight along side of them! Thumbs up SWG thanks for not another uber-god mode. Just fix my corsec bug so i can Level

A few things I don't like about how grouping for missions is handled in JtL. First, the mission should not fail when the mission taker dies as long as there's stillone personalive in the group. Second, there's no group reward so people help others out of charity.

BTW, personaladvancement should not require any grouping. Highend contents (sadly there're none curretnly)should require grouping.

Of course the mission should fail if the person who took it died. You are the one given the task by the NPC not you're team mates. Its a personal mission given to YOU. No group reward? lol. Well I think the fact that countless ships are spawning on other peoples mission and I need like 8million xp is reward enough. You get credits and loot for kills. What more do you want? Buffs and free ID session?

I really think people are missing the point. For month people moaned about how they had nothing to do and that the economy was run by the rich for the rich and in many cases the game was played as a solo experiance. Well along comes JTL and guess what?! you get a chance to play with others, make new friends and expand you're skills by playing with others. And the end result has been a bunch of dull people making really dull and childish comments about not being able to solo. If you want to solo something go play another game. Massive Multiplayer games to me suggests that you play with others and work on things together. I mean if you cant stand the fact that you have to actually group then really you may as well quit JTL altogether because there is no way in hell you can get by otherwise.

Ranxacka, IfI was on your server and you were willing to give me 1 trillion credits, a master ship, tons of various resources, and a mansion I still would not take your stuff. You're way to whiny and have no respect.

I've been called a nerd and a geek before but as far as i'm concerned thats just people that can't do, nor understand, the things that I can do and actually envy me for my abilities (secretly of course ).

If you have a problem with the game then just leave. There is no need to post about it for the simple fact that no one really cares.
