you can't solo everything. get over yourselves. make a friend. get a wingmate. or learn to fly better. the missions are not "impossible" to solo. it is hard as heck and you will more than likely die many, many, many times, but it is not impossible to do, just frustrating, annoying, difficult and just plain not worth it. just make a friend and fly through it, when you get to master level and have these friends to fly with it makes things that much better. i can't believe that you people would want to solo everything in space, then turn around and complain that the game isn't fun if you can't.

You are clueless. Some of these missions are indeed impossible to solo. How are you go to do all the tier 4 missions solo? How are you goign to do the master mission solo? You have no idea what you're talking about.

And who said they wanted to solo EVERYTHING in space? You people must be lowbie pilots and haven't seen much of space yet. There is alot more to space than just these pointless missions.

I don't want to solo capitol ships, I don't want to solo the Imperial Fleet.I don't want to solo the friggin Death Star

Stop saying I want to solo everything, I justwant to solo my missions. I want to make Master Pilot on my own, just like I mastered all my ground professions on my own - That is not too much to ask.

I will group in order to take on the group encounters like Star Destroyers and the like. But leveling is a personal goal and should be able to be done solo. Just like it is in SWG's ground game.

I don't want to be sitting around not able to advance in my profession because all my friends are asleep when I am able to play.

I don't want to be forced into grouping, I want a choice. None of you people seem to understand that. CHOICE = GOOD

SWG was one of the only games on the market that did not FORCE GROUPING just to advance. A squad leader can group with pets and droids, hello? They can do it on their own if they want. There is more to an MMO than hunting in a group!

I hate that they went the opposite direction and now require you to enlist the aid of 15+ people just to make Master Pilot. You're going to have to group later anyway to experience the other content, they could have at least let you level on your own.

not impossible for someone with skills. you can try to buy them if you want.

you want to solo your missions. you want the missions to be handed to you and your master pilot title given to you on a silver platter.

good for you. /gives cookie.

Actually it is. The ground teaches you to survive on your own and actually encourages that. Space is a different ballgame. By making the difficulty hard enough, people have to seek out help, or they have to fly better. either way, it makes them a better pilot.

I will group in order to take on the group encounters like Star Destroyers and the like. But leveling is a personal goal and should be able to be done solo. Just like it is in SWG's ground game.

No. Ground and space are 2 seperate entities. Incidentally, with the combat revamp, there will be unsoloable things in the game once more. If you want to solo a profession you will be standing outside coronet killing butterflies until the end of time.

I don't want to be sitting around not able to advance in my profession because all my friends are asleep when I am able to play.

...caring... caring... caring. oh wait /don'tcare. get friends that are online at that time. don't be shy, i'm sure someone will wanna be your friends (just stand around asking people to go into space with you... they'll be friends with you in no time...)

I don't want to be forced into grouping, I want a choice. None of you people seem to understand that. CHOICE = GOOD

here's your choice. fly better. or get a group. either that or you really don't want to be a pilot that bad, now do you.

SWG was one of the only games on the market that did not FORCE GROUPING just to advance. A squad leader can group with pets and droids, hello? They can do it on their own if they want. There is more to an MMO than hunting in a group!

actually, a SL has to have humans in their group to advance. shame on you for not knowing the most neglected profession in the game. also, at launch and the months thereafter, most people were leveling combat professions in groups. you would see groups at tusken or on dathomir or on dantooine. since the advent of ub3r buffz and ub3r arm0r, nobody has to group to kill ANYTHING in this game. and the game is worse for it. but you sure can solo your way to armorsmith or weaponsmith all you want. i hear you can solo your way to shipwright now too. you have to have people to solo your way to dancer and musician though.

I hate that they went the opposite direction and now require you to enlist the aid of 15+ people just to make Master Pilot. You're going to have to group later anyway to experience the other content, they could have at least let you level on your own.

Why not just ease people into it? making it hard enough that most people have to group about halfway through the profession and thus letting them know that the ONLY way to survive i space is to have someone covering your ass.

Anyway, cry more newb. I have soloed to 4/4/4/3 so far. i have assisted on helping people in the levels in between and found that it was more fun in a group (yelling: "hobbie, hobbie, IM HIT!!!" over vent is fun.) i soloed a corvette in beta and that will be my goal in live someday. A few members of my guild are master. 2 of them finished the master missions together... with no outside help.

As a SKILLED solo pilot you can comfortably take on ANY AI fighter of similar level or a tier higher, 1 VS 1 the odds are in favour of the more skilled pilot.. as the intelligent entity in an AI enctounter, you should come out on top in most cases, But as the number of enemies increases, your chances of surviving the encounter drop, no matter how skilled a pilot you are, if you come up against 10 AI Enemies, you ARE going to get hit, possibly enough to cause destruction of your ship.

JTL does NOT enforce OR require grouping to advance with your skills, it DOES on the otherhand ENCOURAGE grouping.

You signed up with a Squadron to become a pilot, as such you should be looking for groups, no pilot in a potentially hostile arena operates alone, they have support from people on the ground and in most cases with a wingman or wingmates, make use of the resources and support available, work together with yourWINGMATES and learn how to function as part of a unit that is effective against both fighters and cap ships.

Grouping up for a space mission is fun, specially at higher levels, get a group of 3 or 4, then destroy everything in youre path.

Exactly right Ayami...

I don't remember Luke's single Xwing taking off from Yavin and flying to the deathstar.. taking out all the fighters and guns and then making the trenchrun.

I remember squadrons taking out the deathstar, I recall Luke getting his butt saved by Wedge, I remeber Biggs getting nailed in the trench watching Lukes six and finally I recall Han solo coming in and saving the day when Luke was finally flying solo and was about to get owned by Darth

Hello, well looks like this hasnt changed since beta,I have to agree with the original aurthor,I should not have to group to do my missions,SOE even said at the beginning they wouldnt force ya to group or PvP now they take this choice away,Honestly im not surprised its typical of big companies like this, they promise one thing and do another.

I was 3322 in beta and now im 1111 in Live and the last Destroy missions i did was against tier 3 ships what kind of garbage is that? i mean it seems that Freelance pilot missions got even harder in Live than they were in beta. I havent tried Rebel or Imp yet so i have no idea how those are.

If there going to make missions hard like this they should allow ya to Train once ya have enough xp not MAKE you do 3 or 4 missions before you can train, heck if they need to why dont they just double the xp so people cant lvl extreamly fast but at least let people train when they want. I mean when i was in beta i had enough points to fill the last 2 boxes and make it 3333 instead of 3322 but the mission i was on was impossable i tryed like 17 times on that mission with no luck before beta was over. Also when i was 1111 in Beta i dont remember any of the ships in the missions useing missles now in live they do.And yes many times i went looking for a group with no luck or if i did find a group we couldnt see each other casue i was too high and they were to low in there pilot skills.

The ones that say we should be forced group have many many friends or lots of time on there hands.i have some friends in game but most are either in different time zones or different countries.Im on the kuari server so most of the people there are french and its kinda hard to find a group casue of the time difference.

I like soloing alot and when "I" want to ill group, but i should NEVER be forced to do anything i DONT want to do. I pay to play this game so i definitly should have say on what should be going on in this game and complain when things arnt right. If it wasnt for our money SOE wouldnt be in bussiness long. This also goes for there other games.

I love this game but the space part really needs more work. For now ill just get xp from killing the randon ship till they make doing space missions for your pilot skills optional.

One more thing if it still stands for Master pilot where ya need to go into a pvp zone and pick a side if your neutral looks like ill never be Mastercause i refuse to do any kind of PvP. I hate PvP and i will not be forced to do it plain and simple. I picked neutral for a reasoni will not take part in some silly war.

Im not playingEQ im playing SWG so this forced grouping/pvp is not necissary. And no i will not go to a single player game cause i dislike the forced groupingis just silly.

I'm a freelance pilot, I don't remember Han ever having a wingman or needing a squadron. He didn't even want Chewie as a copilot in the beginning because he flew alone. Oh, forget it, I'm speaking to a bunch of narrow visioned, clueless tards.

i think devs are really good in this part...im 2221 now and im seing all missions u are learning samethink new .... for exemple escorte missions i didint even preess speed button all time full but in yavin when i was fighting corsiar pirates i just use speed changer if u use just full speed u are dead man... i think all missions have same new tacticks and control lessons ... and for master or other missions u have to learn grouping..... for me grouping is very hard ..becouse im the only one natural in my guild and most time(%90) im playing solo ..its very hard to find 5 more people for missions..

if dev make all profesions like this it will be awsome... when i start this game i was thinking all profesion do diffrent thinks not just crafting macro or dantoine quanker..i think jtl is just perfect( i know bugs..but its normal its onlinegame)

actually... as a smuggler he hardly went into combat, and by the time he got the falcon, chewie was already his partner. when he was in the imp navy, however, i'm sorry to say, he flew in a TIE wing. If he had to fly into combat (like the battle of nar shardaa) he flew with people on his wing. All the flying he did (while he was training in the navy) he flew with wingman, squads, flight wings. get yer facts straight.

and this for some reason reminds me of you

".its very hard to find 5 more people for missions.."

its hard to find 5 decent pilots. theres tons of "people" out there like bob who cant fly there Tie into a building to save there lives. but to find a top gun elite like Jarik or myself is tuff.
