Thread: ARC-170 ship only usable by rebels and the person who did the mission? Is this true?

so just a question.

I have the jedi starfighter(already generated), and im imperial on ground, and smugglers alliance in space.

If I were to leave the empire, join the rebels, do the quest for the arc, then rejoin the empire, that would work and I would be able to use both my ARC and my Jedi starfighter?

awsome Ill have to do that, my alt is a smuggler anyways so getting my rank back isnt a problem

I'm not even a crafter beyond my basic artisan skills (never found it very interesting to gather all that stuff), which I'm about to drop due to lack of skill points...

But the Devs need to have EVERYTHING in the game come from the crafters. The quests for special limited items should give limited use schematics... the rest should be plain schematics.

As far as the ships, yeah that's kinda stupid. WE need more general use ships that everyone can use. A whole YT-series:

Z95 and improved Z95 (call em training fighters)
YT-1000 (new design) MP usable by all Tier 1 pilots
YT-1300 (existing) MP for all Tier 2 pilots
YT-2000 (Xwing Alliance) MP for all Tier 3 pilots
YT-2400 (Shadows of the Empire), MP for all Tier 4
YT-3000 (new design) MP for all Master Pilots.

Get rid of auto travel and those MP ships would be being used! If the boats can work for EQ and griffons can work for World of Warcraft, Shuttles where players could socialize, heal, train, craft, conduct business (trade/buy/sell) and email and such would certainly work.

Just put a bazaar and bank terminal (no safety deposit) on each shuttle trip would be desired.

Nothing wrong with having both quest rewards and crafted stuff. But they need to be balanced and the new quest ships are just way better then sw's can make.

you know, I may have gotten my jedi starfighter for free, but lets look at what it cost me to get it running.

Astromech droid - 30K
New sets of rebel command chips - 25K
New sets of Imperial command chips - 10K

Engine - 60K
Sheild - 35K
Reactor - 20K
Capacitor - 10K
Booster - 15K
Droid Interface - 15K
Weapon 1 - REed, still cost me 20K to have the SW RE it
weapon 2 - crafted 30K
Ordance - 50K
ammo - 20K
countermeasure - 20K
ammo - 10K

That all went to players, so even thou my jedi starfighter was free, Playercrafters still made 375K for the parts to get it flying. I fail to see how crafters were hosed on that.

How many people do you know that use all crafted parts on a ship, though?

Well the Cap I bought was REed, but from a players vendor, same with the booster and droid interface.

Reactors are hit or miss on loots I think, Ive looted a couple nice ones, but mostly junk.

Player crafter engines, sheilds, (usally)reactors, are better.

Weapons are hit or miss as well


As far as how many people do use mostly player crafted(or REed parts) I dunno, but most players should.
