btw
can I get paid by sony to not play or be, at the lowest level, knowledgable about the game? If so, I'll cancel my account tomorrow and forget everything I figured out about it
seriously, where's the link to the job opportunities?

Does anyone know how to turn off the NPC chat animations in space?
Everytime some Imp says "I can take you!" i get just enough video lag to screw up my aim.

You act like they know what they're talking about
.
These people are killing off roleplayers and combat characters with a single patch. I wouldn't expect them to know what a mouse does.

Some food tips regarding JTL:
Ok, so you don't need stat buffs while flying around in your X-wing/DuneLizard/Tie, and the ground skills don't mean anything in space, but there are a couple foods that might be worth your stomach space:
Ormachek: 4-5% xp bonus for next 17-20 gains. This can come in handy for those pilots working on Tier2 and Tier4 boxes (which require duty missions or spawn camping to gain xp, not just freebie boxes when you complete a quest). The filling is pretty high (in the 70s or low 80s), so you can't keep this bonus up indefinitely (unless you're killing things really slowly), and the number of uses is always just 1.
Gorrnar: reduces wounds on cloning 27-30%. This does work to reduce the wounds (and BF IIRC, although I'm not 100% sure on that) when you get blown up in space. Since you can't clone in space, this can keep that "black bar creep" down. This affects only your next clone (so if you have the stomach space you can pop one as the "Eject" button appears), but will wear off if it's not triggered within 60m of eating it.

Bugged by the bugged travel option with space ships?
Before going to the starship terminal, goto the ticket terminal and pull up the map. When the map come up press 'Esc'. Now go to the starship terminal and pull up the travel map. Presto! The correct map now comes up (instead of Tatooine).
Also remember to use the bug to your advantage. If you don't use the workaround you can travel back to the core planets from all the adventure planets without a lay over on Corellia.
Finally, remember that, if not in a hurry, traveling manually by hyperspace is always fun as well.

Now that is a tip. Something that is not widely known outside of a profession, but is helpful to others. 5*

Thats great.
My map still doesn't zoom out as much as needed or refresh waypoints as often and accurately as it should.

While on the topic of travel I've noticed thatwhen i go tobuy a ticket
at either the Starport or at shuttles the default NOW is to buy a
ROUNDTRIP ticket!
Before I always had to click to get a round trip tic.
And even when I unselect the roundtrip option it surprisingly
reappears the next time I go to buy a ticket.
This started after the launch of JTL.
Coincidence? I think not.
As Sony says not an exploit but it can
drive you nuts when your inventory fills up with
useless tickets and your travel
expense is DOUBLED!!!!!
Soslow down and taketime when
shuttling and you will save a bundle!
Nuff Said. You can thank me later.

This was a tuesday tip?
TH, how about keeping them posted in the Game Guides forum like they always have been in the past? Would be nice.
Secondly, as has been stated already, to get the zonemap, just press "n" on your keyboard, instead of wasting time making a macro.
Thirdly, all the controls on how to navigate the map are all listed on the map itself when you bring that up to get waypoints, etc.
Usually i don't try to bash people, but you could do better than this one mate. Looks to me like
a) you've run out of tip ideas. In which case, just say so and end the tips.
and
b) you don't play JTL much, since you obviously never knew about the "n" key
