OR, enough people complain about it that the Devs take away most of the nebulae
as for Nebula Blast, well who really uses that anyway? doesnt do any significant damage, and bomber strike 3 is so much better

oh lol a little of topic but not really i was having these type fo problem with my gforce card on ground alot and very little problems in space. I had the view distance option set to the bare min. The other day for grins i turned it all the way up. My slider picture show as you called lol has dropped to the way side for the most part every now and then i run into something but not that often now.
