Steep might be the wrong term. But there's a LOT pilots won't learn if they don't browse by the forums or talk to another pilot. The manual - IF you bought the box version - is next to worthless, and a tutorial would eliminate a lot of nonsense that happens around here. Droid commands, component use and balancing, basic tactics, HUD usage and special screens (What ARE those symbols on the ship status screen?), etc.

Big flight sim fan - I always liked Jane's Longbow 2, among other games. I wish someone would make another helicopter simulator that approached the complexity of that game for a modern gaming platform.

Now that I can agree with this isn't the forum for Longbow 2 but I still fly longbow 2 with Windows 2000 pro IM me if you want to learn how.

I got Longbow to run once in XP, but it took more tweaks than I care to do on a normal basis, and still wasn't completely stable.

This is fun, glad to see more fans out there. Such a great game...

Are you a pilot and not using Droid Commands?

I fly with a squad online in Longbow2 with front and back seaters in one ship... we've never had a problem with connection or it being stable if you ever want to hook up with us let me know.

With todays connections and of course Teamspeak it makes for a very cool experience flying campaigns online.

What platform are you running on? XP doesn't seem to like it at all. I found a lengthy work around, but it kept crashing...

NOTED: There is a counter for both missiles and CM

ADDED: Those counters can be dragged and dropped just like the text windows (the counters are not part of the Radar Screen). Put your mouse over the CM counter when you enter mouse mode... notice that there is a cross... click and drag and place it anywhere you like, ie.Right beside the reticle. Their positions resets to the bottom of the screen each time you launch but while your overload programs are firing up there is more then enough time to move them to where you want them.
