I always considered the use of disabling a player POB ship. Then docking to steal all content from their lootbox (if anything is left in it). That would promote space-piracy. If only they'd add such an option.
About docking with stations, perhaps we see this when capital ships are released? We already saw shots of docking and then parading trough an ISD. Doing so with a space station can't be any harder. A good alternative to have to dock with a space station to sell space resources and looted components for a different price.
