yeah i read some were apple is developing a new prgram in which servers wont ever be needed anymore for mmos, just a copy of the game and a internet connection. then it would be run through everyones computer like a peer to peer i guess?

if apple are making it you can garentee it will be 100% incompatible with windows.

SWG will be shut down eventually.
Still, the game is great by my standards. Few bugs and an awsome new expansion!
So, expect say, atleast 4 more years unless somthing really surprising happens.

As long as they are making enough money to justify keeping the game running, it'll last longer than four years. It may not be EQ, but I forsee as many expansions as they can pack in down the road.
There is always SWG 2 as well...

And the Sun is expected to burn out in 5 billion years? Of course it will end at some point, but Ultima is 7 years, EQ is going on 6, who knows when.
