Well I have problems with profiler. So I play woithout profiler and games just detects joystick buttons. As a drawback I can't use mode 1,2,3 (they are also seen just like joystick buttons)

If you want to use the Modes you have to program the commands to keystrokes then the keystrokes to your joystick in the profiler. for example you want button 4 to be booster on mode 1 for combat and tractor beam on mode 2 for mining
Boosterin SWG you program to "B"
Tractor Beam in SWG you program to "T"
Then on your joystick profiler you program Bto Mode1 button 4
On your joystick profiler you program T to Mode 2 button 4
Now since the joystick knows about hte mods it hits the different buttons for what you want it to do. (just make sure you dont hit enter first or youll be typing BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB) i try to use Fkeys and stuff first so it doesnt type and will still go off if im typing to someone.
if you used SWG to program either of them to button 4 then whenever you hit that button it would do that command cuase SWG doenst see the mode switch.
I do commands that are always the same with SWG (like fire is always trigger, target nearest enemy is always on HAT2, etc.) and things for different schenarios on the profiler (fire2 button is missles on combat, and tractor beam on mining mode 2)
oh and as far as the sliders on the throttle if you figure out something good for them let me know cuase mine dont do anything. i tried setting them to a key but there isnt a good way to find the center of them in combat so it ends up firing things randomly while your flying if you dont find that little sweet spot. i supposed you could set a huge deadzone and use them like that but with 30 other buttons i havnet used all the rest yet.
happy flying

The problem is that if I enable default profile my thrust is actually my mouse Y axis... SInce the profiler isn't very user-friendly I decided no tto invest my time in it...

the profiler takes alittle getting used to but if you hit your buttons they light up on the screen showing you which one it is. make a new profile and call it SWG or something of the like and make sure you always activate it before you sign into the game or use the "clutch" button on your joystick once your in game already.
i had issues trying to adjust the default so i just activate the SWG one and it works fine. plus then you can make a different one for each game.
like in battlefield i use the stick for planes/helo's but for when im in a truck i use the throttle and my mouse. i set the throttle for gas/break and use one of the sliders on the throttle to steer. then my mouse is free to look around and fire. its nice to jsut rightclick the icon in the corner and activate any profile youve made.
