Then why is everyone saying the Jedi Starfighter is so much better than the Grievous?

Reading comprehension FTW.

Smaller. Hit. Box.Its been said in this thread at least once, if not twice. The Bel-22 presents at least a 50% larger target to enemy guns. Running a 75+ YPR Engine, with EO3 or EO4, you're so goddamned squirrelly in either of them, the difference in performance is utterly moot. The fact that the Bel-22 is larger, means its easier to put a hit on it. A shot that would pass harmlessly by a JSF, would tag a Bel cold.

The inability to be hit is NOT a perfect defense, though. I've gunned down Royal Guard Interceptors with guns alone. That small hitbox is a margin, it is NOT an "I Win" mechanic.

So wait, why do people say the Actis is better than the B22 then?

Sorry, couldn't resist! Long night, shot down twice, accidently sold a nice piece to the freakin' chassis vendor, and actually had a guy following me around in Theed demanding I sell him my Decimator.

Sorry I forgot to post the stats...and trust me...I didn't misread the stats. And that's why I'm confused

Grievous' Starship 1800 90k 2 1 .79ModerateModerate

Jedi Starfighter 1650 90k 21 .65Moderate Light

And remember it's from an official strategy guide.

yeah lol those stats are not entirely correct. if you check the pilot FAQ as mentioned by Attacca, you will find that these two ships do in fact have the exact same stats.

what is not listed in the pilot FAQ however is that the hitbox (area of the ship where u can score a successful hit for damage) on the JSF is smaller than on the belbullab-22 fighter. thus, the JSF being the slightly superior ship.

Glzmo was a great visionary. Perhaps SOE should have listened to him instead of rebuilding everything all the time.

Personally, I'd like to see both of those poonfighters nerfed into oblivion and beyond. The Actis-2 especially. I will never fathom how a ship half the size of an A-Wing will have 50% more mass, an extra gun port and superior inherent maneuverability.

Both ships were exceptionally poor ideas from the Developers that threw the established logic and balance that existed with the JTL launch ships out the airlock.

I'd rather see all the original ships have a little more maneuverability than seeing the Actis-2 and such get nerfed. Flying the actis-2 felt much more like the movies than the launch ships.

Sorry bub, PvE in space is trivial enough as it is. I flew my entire Crimson Pheonix squadron in a crafted component equipped, stock X-Wing with only RO4 and EO3. I can solo anything in the game but a Corellian Corvette and I have an A-Wing and Advanced X-Wing kitted up expressly to hunt Actis-2's, and I'm not even close to the best there are flying right now.

If the space game were to get any easier, I'd have to put a Y-Wing Longprobe together so playing up there wouldn't bore me to tears and drool. As it is, I've been known to throw a mix of Spacebomb IIs and Proton Mark IVs in my Nova and go solo missions.

It just doesn't need to be easier. I'd rather see these snotnosed punks, who think sitting in an empty turret to grind up to 4333 just for their little peasy fighter they think entitles them to compete with me, learn to fly, rather than making space so easy a demented retard with an IQ less than 20could ace in seven hours.

thanks guys for the info but how is the jsf better than the belbullab-22? It just makes no sense looking at the stats. So you guys are surethat the jsf is betterin every way with the same loadout?I'm trying to finda really good all around ship that's damn maneuvarable. Thanks for your patience guys.
