So, you believed your friend, over your trainer?

Okay, so I'm pretty new to Pilot, but I chose the Black Epsilon and it's been going okay. I got the opportunity to go up with a guy and man one of his two turrets which helped me gain xp pretty fast. I suddenly lose connection to my internet...get everything back up and I'm on the ground of course. I go and decide to train as I am working on only my Tier 2 line right now...i have 160k of xp racked up..each box costs me 60K. I get to my trainer in the Talus Imp OUtpost...he only offers me a mission...no training. I take the mission. Finish it. Come back down and he acts like I have not finished the mission. I got the onscreen message, I have the XP to train..what am I doing wrong?
I even went back up into space to see if it would give me an updated message for the mission or a new waypoint...nothing.
Any help?

Sometimes a single mission is actually a series of them. When one ends, another may start. Getting out of the simplistic Tier 1 missions means getting into the more complicated Tier 2, 3, and 4 missions.
If the case was that you completed only the first part of a mission and returned to the Trainer, there should have been a "Mission Failed" message show up in your chat log (though it's possible to miss it and not realize what happened).
After recently going through Black Epsilon, I do not recall too many problems with mission fragments and other issues (except for the Tier 4 exit mission).

Yeah, except for that when i checked my Log it said Mission Complete...Return to your Supervising Officer or something like that....also if usually a mission has a second leg when I launched my ship I usually see a message of some sort...anyways shouldn't I be able to train?

Do you have any other missions? Mining, Kashyyyk space station missions, anything like that? If you do, get rid of them and that will fix it.
