Thread: X52 users rejoice!!!
So in a game like this, where you have 5-6 droid/pilot commands, different targeting options, multiple weapons and weapon group options etc, etc this helps you to organize all of those without searching the keyboard in the middle of a dogfight.
This is exactly the kind of game these sticks were designed for.
I have been using my X-45 and will be ordering the X-52 this week, I was waiting for this bug to get squashed first.

Goodie, Goodie, look at all the people I can own with their X52s. That joystick is way to complicated for JTL and anyone who uses a fairly standard joystick will own you. I personally use the Seitek Cyborg Evo and it works very well. Who needs all those extra buttons on the side. Just get a simple gaming keyboard and you have more then enough.
Note: this isn't a flame, just my opinion of the uselessness of a flight stick like the X52 in an arcade style game like JTL. It is a great stick if you were doing real flight simulation.

I feel the exact opposite of you!! Like the poster below you said. We have all the buttons right there to just use all our different commands. I can't wait til I get paid next week so I can order this joystick!! Who knows when I will be able to save some money

Yeah, but who says I use a keyboard. The Sietek Cyborg Evo gives me 7 buttons to handle dogfighting and I use the Thrustmaster TacticalBoard with my left hand that places all the extras that I need without having to search a keyboard. Having the throttle as part of the extra controller is what will kill you. When I am flying, I always have my hand on the throttle and all it does through most of the flight is fluctuate the throttle, if now that hand is responsible for on the fly button presses, you would need an IQ of over 140 to be able to coordinate everything.
The fact is, this game is simple. 80% of droid commands are not ones you use in the heat of combat, but just as you enter combat (you can even macro them). There are only a few useful targeting commands (most are so global that you are spending forever cycling through enemies out of range). The rest can fit easily on a simple joystick.

i upgraded from the cyborg evo to the x52 and i find it much more accuate. granted my evo is about 6mnths old and well worn (i was a huge dc fan pre-jtl) but i never remembered it being as smooth and accurate as my x52 is. and ill tear you up with either stick.
