If they did stack that would give me a 55% off of faction perks. My normal price for an at-sts is double what a humans is at 18.9k right now as a master smuggler it's at 13,230 which is 70% of the normal which is why I said the 30% seems to override smuggler percents.

Ok nope I did my math wrong it now costs me 14,175 which is 25% of normal. Hmm guess maybe they do stack and I'm having a major brain fart lol. Ok, I haven't been an imp long so before imps started losing the gcw was the original human cost for at-sts 30% higher than 9450? Or was it always 9450 and the 25% is overriding the 30%?

Will by any chance be able to have ships like theImperial Super Star Destroyers which can hold tie fighter and bombers which could launch by players aboard. It would be cool if these ships had Corvette style walk around feel .

Only Top Rank Players could be able to purchase these Ships and they should be able to transport atleasr 20 people with an npc crew , but player pilots can interact with runing of the ship.

I know my idea is quite out of reahc , but it still could be cool.

There will be no playable capital ships in JtL. Not on release anyway.

I'd say wait until the first X-Wing pilot "solos" a Star Destroyer before the idea of personally owning one crops up.

Besides, no one less than an Admiral skippered one of these things. You wouldn't be able to just "buy" one with faction points.

I think it'd still be a good while away, but in the future it might be possible to implement sort of as a guild controlled vessel. To control anything that huge, you should need alot of people, funds and faction imo.

I'll confess, I bought the game looking forward to the day I could have my very own star destroyer.

Just call me a dewey eyed dreamer.

I'll be esctactically happy if Lambda's are available on lauch, or with three months of launch, for JTL.

Star destroyers, while not entirely BAD idea are also not entirely GOOD idea. It doesnt much skill or effort (just a LONG time) to destroy the two shield generators on top to lower the shields and then whammo! That pretty Star Destroyer that cost millions...down the tubes. Hmmmm....sounds familiar like something we already have...OH YEAH faction bases.

Don't forget the 72 Tie's, if memory serves, that a Star Destroyer holds standard.

The dev's have stated that Capitol ships would be in a future expansion and not in this one. It is still being developed how these will be implemented, however, the dev's would like to see this in the future.

Issues we have discussed with this are as follows:

  • Amount of players needed to control it: It cannot be a single player vehicle!

  • How to dock and land in it

  • What kind of control would the players have on it?

  • Travel to and from it would be done how?

  • How would this balance with the game?

Just some issues and things you can think about and submit if you want to see this thing come soon!

luke solo'd one... in a book... he did some awesome manuver where he hit the thrusters wierd when he got in the tractor beam, then he shot out a missle or something, then some other debreise (been awhile since i read it) and the star destroyer had to choose what to lock into since they werent 100% sure and they took the missle.... tho.... i think it lived, but a load of damage.... /shrug.... also theres that a-wing in that one episode that once the sheilds were down it got hit and fell right into the bridge, and kabamo, bye bye......

look at thehurdles envolved...

a) if players are capable of entering that large scale of a ship the devs would have to do a very detailed interior... seems kinda like how coruscant(sp) didn't end up published...

b) how would you seemlessly build a mobile docking platform without a reload at entry (TIE docking for example)

c) where is something that big gonna dock at... it sure as heck wouldn't be landing anywhere so you'd have to own a personal craft just to fly to it

d) and who's gonna get the keys to a ship like that... everyone would be fighting over the controls

if it did happen I would be ecstatic... but I wouldn't hold my breath... heck... I'd still like to run across an AT-AT in game and if they just want to keep the capital ships PVE then I wouldn't be upset either.
