with the introduction of the special TIEs (Royal Guard, etc), I doubt if they'll let you color the craftable ones.. The ones who obtained the Royal Guard TIE for example would see it as a slap in the face when they see someone painting their TIE Interceptor red <shrug>

Ah yes yes, that would be wonderful....oh wait thats right...the Royal Interceptor has been bugged since release right? oops.....your bad right Devs? ...course if it was the Heavy Xwing that was bugged i bet there would be a hotfix in 15minutes... :/

Which part of the Royal Guard Interceptor is bugged? Man, if my ship rocks this much, and there is something wrong with it, I can't wait to see what it does once it gets fixed!

I'd personally go for a suit of pink stormtrooper armor with a pink TIE, but I don't expect it to ever happen. Nor would I ever actually ask for it. If it magically became an option, I'd use it, but I try not to ask for things that are blatantly innapropriate for the game.

I dont think the Devs have been favoring the Rebels, we get the far superior Jedi Starfighter; however, it's wrong to say the Empire didn't paint their Ties. For one, they didn't paint the entire vehicle, just the wing tips. For example, on a Tie Interceptor, the tips of the "pointy things" would be painted red to show if they are elite pilots. The coloring is a way of showing rank, and it's also done in one of the old Tie Fighter games or X-Wing Alliance (One of the other, or both. Not sure).

I am against putting flame decals or stripes on Ties. Thats a sign of expression, and any Imperial deserves a shot in the back for doing such a thing

Plus, we dont want too many painted Ties. Doing so would get rid of the feeling of being one Imperial Navy, with no faces, just as Stormtroopers who march in armies. You cant distinguish one another (unless they have ranking symbols).
