We the imperial pilots DEMAND that you the devs provide us the ability to color our TIE fighters just the same as Freelance and Rebel Pilots are allowed to.
For over a year now publishes have favored the rebels and this is just another example of the slap in the face bs you devs produce.
TIE Fighter squadrons also had Markings - and that aside is also the fact that we are "supporters of our faction, not direct members" - Hence if I have to buy my own TIE privately, i should be allowed to do whatever the hell I please with it, painting it is hardly an extreme compared to the types of weapons that you allow TIEs to use so dont go and give a Star Wars movie reference as an excuse (especially since NOTHING else in this game follows star wars movie reference.)
I would request that every other member of the Imperial Navy post their approval and add any other thoughts to this petition, because the fact that we were left behind with JTL is appauling, we already have to suffer the hardest leveling process, and yet we get the weakest rewards. :/ disgusting.

True and false, you must be imperial to obtain, but Rebels can go back to theri faction and fly it... soo...

Whaattt??? I sure as hell don't want to see a squadron of pink TIE fighters. They are ment to be exactly the same as all the other ones, thats why ship customizations don't show. For rebels, they can because they're not quite a strict in that.

Actually....they do have painting in the Imperial Navy too.........so no your wrong...plz read up more before posting blindly

Furthermore........as i said earlier.......and as the Devs said when the game was going live, you are not an actual member of your faction, your just part of it, so military restrictions would not apply to your color patterns and what oyu do with your TIE, and furthmore, since WE have to PAY for our TIEs and they are not provided by the Empire....that means you should be able to paint the thing pink if thats what you want to do.

No way man. That would be just wrong. Same goes for your stormtrooper armour and faction pets. I wouldnt want to see a beige stormtrooper running around with his orange ATSTon his way to fire up his purple TIE fighter. If you want a chick mobile grab a Grievous fighter andpaintaway.

I don't agree with painting of TIEs. They are Imperial and uniform very unlike privateering and alliance pilots. Those are supposed to have more character whereas your Imperial character is placed upon you.
If you want a colored TIE, you need to get the Royal Guard TIE. It's red. The only other color I have ever heard of any Imperial ship being painted. There was a red Star Destroyer. Can't think of any other official Imperial ship that has been painted.
And certainly not with flames and stripes all over it.
But, if you really, REALLY want a choice, I say they give you grey, light grey and dark grey and you can only paint the whole ship one of the three.

If you want to take a crayola crayon to your ship join the little kid rebels and do it! TIEs are warfighting machines, and should look the part, not like some damn clown car =)

You might have to pay for your own ship but you only have to pay a max fof 400-500k (on my galaxy) so its not really a big deal. I agree with most of the other people that have posted in this. Imperial TIE Fighters should stay dark and grey so they can look very inemedating and blend in with the back drop of space.
