A joystick of course. Using a mouse just doesnt feel like your flying a space craft

You don't have to sell a kidney to get a joystick like some idiots do to get a top-of-the-line insane-in-the-membrane uber-expensive joystick. Just get a decent one for a decent price. Heck, you dont even need it to have a throttle and a Z-axis, I played with one like that for years and it was fine. Just a trigger, and a few extra buttons is good enough.

I'll be using my Saitek Cyborg that I picked up at Wallmart. I just like the feel of having to use a joystick, a mouse would just be too akward for me.

I used a mouse in bf 1942 and flew just fine. Mouse and joystick are pretty much the same, It's the human factor thats different. Some like mouse others like joystick. Either or they both will get the job done.

well im pretty good at flying planes with a mouse in BF42, so maybe mouse will be easy for me, but those 2 games cant really be compared considering BF42 isa FPS and JTl is a flight sim

For piloting the joystick rules. If you are in a turret your best bet is the mouse.
